Time to Dust Off the Ol' Tiara

Hello. Her Royal Highness the cat here. One of the drawbacks of being royalty is the necessity of attending all those dreary royal functions. Sure enough, look what came in the mail for me about a month ago.

So now I've got to schlep over to England for all the hoopla. Oh well, *heavy sigh*. . . it's the price one must pay for having blue blood.

And here I was, wondering if your Peerage afforded you an invite or not. I didn't want to bring up the subject, for fear of hurting your feelings, should they have been to tactless as to overlook you.

I do hope that you have already made your reservations. .or are you staying directly with the Queen? Perhaps you'll get to weekend at Sandringham House, and ride to the hounds.

How delightful for you, that you get to go, and how nice for us, that we have a reliable source for the inside scoop on everything that is going on. .those entertaining sidebar stories that only the true insiders will know.

Have a safe trip!

Shushhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Don't tell....... I have a secret.... I am not much interested in this particular royal wedding.

There! I said it! But cut me some slack please.

Being 74, I've done my time of loving "the Little Princesses." And of being around for Elizabeth's wedding. And for the "Saga Of Princess Margaret Rose."

Now I really got totally into Diana's whole story, wedding, Saga, etc. And entwined it was, with the "Fergie" story. Etc. [Can anyone forget the Ascot pic of the 2 of them, giggling at make-believe poking some gentleman's rear, with their umbrellas??? -giggles-]

So it's been a pretty long run of interest in the British royalty, for me. Perhaps I'm just tired out.

:-)

So will you allow me to sit this one out, please? Without getting mad, that is.

:-)

I'm sure being of noble birth can be a burden sometimes...
And please do come back and share tales of everything! The fashion, the celebrities, the royal balls!

What's so funny is that I was just telling one of my co-workers, "Who really cares about all this royal wedding crap? They don't even really control the country anyway! They just have a bunch of money so everyone is freaking out!".....Then, a man tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Well, my wife and I are originally from Ireland but are from Canada now. We think it's a big deal. It's a part of the culture." You would think I would apologize and shut-up...no, I did what any dumb American would do and I said, "Exactly! You're from Ireland. So, what do you care about this dumb wedding?"......It went over like a two ton brick. DOH!

Lucky you! I'm not a fan of the Royal family, but i love their weddings so I'll be watching it on TV and I'll be watching for you, too!

Oh woe. I suppose you'll need a new hat too.

I shall keep a lookout for you as I watch through half open eyes.

Poor little blue blood. It's tough, but I'm sure you'll handle it with style.

Love the tiara! I probably won't watch the wedding but I'll watch Graham Norton to hear about it. I'm a huge everything UK fan, but I don't do weddings.

Well I must admit that being from Canada I like to think we're all a little too cool for this royal wedding stuff but if I had an invite, I'd probably schlep over there too...

Well, have a wonderful day Your Majesty - I'm sure all the Royals will have a super day and treat you as you deserve. Give us a wee Royal wave on the tv - I'll keep an eye out for you.

(I'll be watching the whole thing, no doubt - or as much as I can without getting up at 3am!)

I meant to add this morning. .I love your royal wave! You've got the technique down to a hair!!
