Gimme My Crying Towel

Oh, the thrill of victory . . .

. . . and the agony of defeat.

Final score -- Toronto Argonauts 35, Calgary Stampeders 22.

What can I say, except -- Next year! NEXT YEAR!! The West shall rise again.

I feel this every year when it comes to my Mets, but I never give up the hope. Maybe next year.

I'm with ya....I almost came down to the studio last night mid-game to post to your blog!
Thought for SURE Calgary would win but after the first few minutes, it was like I was watching a totally different team than earlier in the year.
Ah well, no one does football like the CFL, and other than having to listen to Justin Beiber, it was an exceptional production.....
*Sniff*
Next year....

XXOO~~

it doesn't really seem like a sport to me when they have to wear those cages and helmets on their heads....

I blame Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen for ruining half time. If I had to listen to them, my performance would suffer as well.

Those are such great shots showing the completely opposite emotions.

I'm looking for the west to rise again next year as well.

.....hopefully with the addition of some green and gold, celebrating on the field at the end of the day. :)

So sorry Debra... but, you should live here in KC with the loser Chiefs. The "maybe next years" were gone many years ago...

I don't know one end of a CFL game from the other, but I feel bad for you 'cos I know you were so excited. Next year indeed!

Good grief. What's with all the sympathy?? Am I the only Easterner in your sea of followers! Bwa ha ha! Not only did Toronto win they got rid of their mayor today too. How sweet it is!!

I have to say I am not a big sports fan... maybe every 4 years for the world cup, because I like soccer, but that's about it... in any case, there is always a craziness that goes with sports, a heart beating a bit faster than usual ;-)

Oh, Debra...here's a tissue to wipe up the tears, and a shoulder to cry on.... Lucky for you, I'm not a sports fan, or else I'd be gloating about how great the east is :)

Yeh ;o) Sorry Debra! The last time we won was in 2004, for Calgary it was 2008, so we needed the cup ;o) I saw Francie's comment about Toronto's mayor. Sorry, I disagree. I think he was a good person. Oh well, we will see what happens to Toronto now. Take Care ;o)

My boss's moods totally depend on football scores in the winter. I'm sure he feels your pain!

The West shall rise again??? We already got Stevie Harper what else do you want? Mind you if you sold those Stampeders to the Communist Chinese they would win or get shot, now that is a winning combination.

I fell asleep during the 4th quarter, but sort of thought that it might turn out the way it did. Next year!

There is always hope. Unless you are my neighbor, in which case there is only broken glass and suspicious pieces of furniture flying through the window.

Hey Debra.

Just wanted stop by and apologize, as I had a severe brain cramp and accidently deleted your wonderful comment on my blog post today.

I managed to answer it, because I had thoroughly enjoyed everyone's answer I managed to memorize the basic outline of everyone's comment while I was reading
