Edmonton Tarot: The Chariot (VII)

Interpretation: The Chariot card represents the ability to succeed and overcome obstacles by sheer force of willpower, ambition and drive. A person who has been given the gifts of the Chariot is in control of his or her own life -- someone who is firmly "in the driver's seat."

Image: Edmonton's beloved High Level Street Car operates as a summer tourist attraction. This vintage tram makes a round trip from Old Strathcona to downtown and back again. To make this circuit, it must cross the North Saskatchewan River on train tracks high atop Edmonton's High Level Bridge. It's a dizzying height from which to look out the windows and the swaying of the car when conditions are windy can cause passengers to feel distinctly uneasy. I speak from experience!

beautiful street car. But your description of the route makes me uneasy just hearing about it. High flying as they say, just isn't my thing. But it does remind me of something that I think I shall post about. Thanks for the brain zap. Oma Linda

This is definitely a card I'd like to see come up in a reading for myself. :-)

Hate heights, but love bridges... so I might be able to handle it. Some day maybe! Would be scary-fun. L

I hope to post your figure on Monday. The light has been bad and I want a really good shot of her.

You know how Pirate Captains have parrots? Well, I couldn't give you a parrot as being a cat, you'd eat it. So I painted up a flying monkey for you to have in place of a parrot. He's way cool looking!

That is very cool! I wish we had something like that here.

I don't remember the Chariot tarot card at all, thanks for the information. I would never be able to ride the Edmonton street car -- I am terrified of heights, especially bridges. I have this reoccurring dream...

I'd love to say I could ride that with ease but after your description....I'm not so sure!

I am going to have to write this information down. I think this high level street car would be so cool to ride! Don't think my mom could do it. She is scared of heights.

That is a pretty piece of work... with soul.

This street car is exactly like the ones in Rome, except the wood parts are now metal. Same doors same look.
