NOjust NONOT til after thanksgiving
I was going to post that Disney meme but changed my mind. Glad you got to use it.
I personally think its rather distasteful when the media / people begin to celebrate a holiday / event WAY earlier.I blame this on capitalism.
It began looking a lot like Christmas quite a while ago around here. A Canadian tire near my house put up merchandise at the beginning of October! A little too eager...
I have my day of the day candle lit and my tiny altar for the ones that have gone ahead...fuck thanksgiving and christmas..I'm not ready yet.
It is way too soon!!!
My neighbors are, at this exact moment, ripping down their Halloween decorations and simultaneously putting up their Christmas decorations. I just saw an inflatable Santa pop up.Why God why? :(
Can we have Thanksgiving first??
Been too busy to properly celebrate Halloween for myself....... So will fix up myself into something a "bit ghoulish" (been too busy doing so for others) and (finally) set down to carve my pumpkin on this wet and chilly day....... will even have my Sister pick me up a bit of candy treats to set back and enjoy... .... Maybe even view a couple of horror films... ... Everything has just been too "hectic" these last few weeks... ... Hope that you had a great Halloween , dear Lady Debra....
sigh.............. I suppose but I'm now in the mood
I blame it on Thanskgiving, it's only about eating. Not many are going to decorate for that
I can't watch the video with my crappy internet-on-a-stick, but I just swung by to wish you a belated Happy Halloween!
Try being a dj as we approach the run up to Christmas. The Carols I can cope with, it's Wham's Last Christmas I have a problem with.
Oh dear. Being in visual display and merchandising, I can understand why stores are ahead of the curve, short selling season of seasonal goods. My department store is one of the last to trim the stores and windows....unveiling black Friday. But me personally don't like to see any Christmas till well after thanksgiving. The holidays are so rushed, like everything else, how does anyone truly enjoy the pleasures of each holiday? But the meme is sooooooo true, lol!!!!
Bring it on!!!Wishing you an early Merry Christmas Debra.Big hugsPeggy xxxxx
oh please...don't remind me!! do you have any idea how much i have to do between now and dec. 25th? arghhhh!!!!
Halloween hasn't even undressed yet! Can't all this crap wait until AFTER Thanksgiving? (U.S. not Canada)
I received some spam mail from some story or other at 12:01... Something about a countdown to Black Friday. They waste no time to show us the real meaning of the season.
Sadly, the Hallmark channel was already playing Christmas movies this weekend. and Christmas crap has been in the stores since September.AmazonFather Nature's Corner
A shopping center down the street from me had pinecone banners up last Monday. And Hallmark channel started Christmas movies already. What?!
Don't forget about creepmas - I am already laying my plans for a fabulous 13 days of blogs!
Oh no, please not the Hippo song. (I want a hippopotamus for Christmas!) Please make it go away.
No, not Christmas yet! It doesn't begin for me until after Thanksgiving and even then I keep it rather low key.Arlee BirdTossing It Out
A holiday truly chases away the other: since yesterday I have seen far too many Christmas displays already.
LOL. We're going to try and do Thanksgiving in there somewhere.Susan Says
Hey Debra,Should we mention that Thanksgiving has already happened, eh! Over here in England, they have been showing Christmas themed movies for over a month! Help and here's to "Boxing Day Eve!"Take care, eh!Gary
I don't celebrate Thanksgiving in November so bring on the Christmas Fun. Not sure if I emailed you our outside xmas tree but I decorated it last week or the week before. As soon as Halloween comes down, later this week, bam, crack on with Christmas.I flippin' love it.Cheers and boogie boogie. Because you know, boogies never go out of season.
