YES! Screaming is part of self care. I do it every single hour of the day considering I live in Texas, Stupidstan. Stupidstan is now the new name for the Alt-right Republican owned States of America. Home of the stupidest people on the face of the earth. Yeah, we have reached that level.
I screamed during dinner tonight as we watched the local news on a small tablet. The news was banal and repetitive of things that I (personally) was just sick of listening to. My husband was like "Why are you screaming at the tablet?!?!? Like they can hear you!" I had to explain to him that, perhaps not, but it felt very cathartic.
I was familiar with laughter therapy but scream therapy sounds more beneficial π Very enjoyable and relatable dear Debra π Where the world is going screaming seems the only option π
Funny how "I scream" sounds just like "ice cream".
ReplyDelete...there's plenty to scream about!
ReplyDeleteLove the screaming songbird!
ReplyDeleteWe can probably freely scream without a museum exhibit allowing it!
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of reasons to scream and for ice cream…
ReplyDeleteIn time, this will pass.
ReplyDeletelol @Yorkshire Pudding. Now all I hear is the ice cream truck song. Really does sound like ice cream.
ReplyDelete@Debra - Happy Monday. Here's to a kickbutt good week.
Screaming and ranting ARE self-care. Some of us down here have been doing a lot of that lately.
ReplyDeleteπ±π¦ "The Screamin' Hedgehogs" is my new favorite indie spine-rock band!! πΈπ€
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure about that second-to-last one. I recall there was once a movie ad with the tagline "In space, no one can hear you scream."
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a sore throat...
ReplyDeleteScreaming seems to be a frequent activity these days!
ReplyDeleteScreaming has become a part of my daily agenda item

ReplyDeleteOMG I need that 'Thank you for contacting the abyss...' message as my inbox message NOW.

ReplyDeleteScreaming is good for your health.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what it would feel like to kneel with others in that exhibit. I haven’t screamed in a really long time.
ReplyDeleteUseful strategy. This is how I feel every time I read about Alberta separatists. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI love screaming when it is overwhelming
ReplyDeleteHow fun would it be to scream in community?
ReplyDeleteLove these! Thank you!

Yep. Screaming into the ozone is part of my self-care.
ReplyDeleteCodex: Does growling at the TV count?
ReplyDeleteIf the void is full, screaming into a pillow can also be cathartic!
