I was in my 20s in the 70s and guess what? At the Lowes yesterday and walked out when I saw that a SINGLE basil plant was $5.95. I remember when a 6-pack of veggies cost $1. I'll just be patient while my basil I grew from seeds (4 packs for $1.25 at the dollar store) is big enough to make pesto.
Well, first of all, we are all still reading blogs so... yeah. My son-in-law posted a picture of the original Star Wars opening and it said something like: When your grandparents lined up to see Star Wars. Ouch! These were all so great! (Also, I sang along out loud to song at the grocery store last week. It *was* a banger and I don't care who thinks I'm a crazy old woman!)
LOVE all of these! Snagged a few, too!
ReplyDeleteThe seat warmers…so true!
ReplyDeleteGo Oilers!
I loooove my seat warmers!

ReplyDeleteYeah. The credit card machine...Thunk, thunk.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting to be so old that even some of the grocery store tunes are starting to sound unfamiliar.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday! Thanks for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteMind boggling, the turn of the century was 25 years ago, not 75 years ago.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is definitely me anymore!
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten those credit card imprinters! We were using that at our hotel a mere 25 years ago!
ReplyDeleteThat last one was a banger. Had me ROFLMAO because so true.
ReplyDeleteSo true .... too many times I have stopped in a supermarket aisle to enjoy a tune.
ReplyDeleteI have a version of that last one and I love it. The passcode book is pretty good too. All good really.
ReplyDeleteBeing old is kinda cool some days...and that password book is essential, haha.
ReplyDeleteOh, the seat warmers!!!
ReplyDelete🤣😢 I laughed. I cried. That first one hit me hard! Puttin' things in perspective; why did you do that to me?! 🤨🤪
ReplyDeleteOh my god the credit card runner!!!!!! I'm old!
ReplyDeleteBut in all fairness, I was around 6 when they went out of use. That made me feel better to put that out there, lol!!!!
Those are great! I remember those credit card machines when I worked retail.
ReplyDeleteMy joints (not the kind you roll) heartily agree.
ReplyDeleteWe were just talking about the credit card runner yesterday. Ancient!! :)
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteI can relate to all of this stuff. I stole a few for a reminder.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I dance my way around the supermarket!
ReplyDeleteI don't complain much about getting older, but man, the password thing is the pits! Who knew that would be a thing?
ReplyDeleteI'm old enough to remember listening to classic rock when it was originally fresh.
ReplyDeleteBeing from the 1900s never hit me like I did today! Thanks
ReplyDeleteOMG ~ These are too true!
