Great collection, thank you. I came close to getting fired one time for throwing a stress ball at some annoying idiot. I like the last one, happiness is an inside job.
🥰 An excellent series leading me through anxiety and coping. The finish of the self-made happiness jar was a brilliant reminder! My thanks to you! 🫡
It's good to have a reminder that we need rest and replenishment always but especially during times like these. I loved the Mr Rogers and the cactus memes. I have a tea mug with drawings of cacti that says, 'Feeling Prickly'. Frequently in rotation!
I identified with too many of these. The first one that caught me was doing silly crafts while the world blows apart around me. Describes most of my retirement. But when I came to the rest is an act of self-love, I couldn't resist. I took it without asking. It is now safely stashed in my blogger picture folder. I would like to put it on my blog page if you don't mind. Truly, I'd like to write a whole blog about it. So I'm waiting to hear from you. If you mind, well, I will just have to search for something similar. But that one is perfect in itself.
@ Lisa -- There's no need to ask! Just take it, use it, write a blog post! This isn't my original meme or personal property -- don't tell anyone, but I stole it myself!
Chocolate has to be on the menu these days!

ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!!!! The cucumber one actually is sort of creepy looking.
ReplyDeleteHi Debra, The cucumber one reminded me of those ancient Chinese jade burial suits:

@ Parnassus (Jim) -- Yes, an uncanny resemblance!
Delete...my entire life has been about coping.
ReplyDeleteLoved the self-care menu but what would happen if we all turned our backs on what is happening out there in the so-called real world?
ReplyDeleteI thinking throwing axes might work for me better than stress balls. Just me?
ReplyDeleteCodex: No.
DeleteI am off to buy cucumbers!!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, so...
ReplyDeleteLight a scented candle.
Listen to my favourite songs.
Chocolate.
Done.
XOXO
I love these and I think I may be a cactus:)
ReplyDeleteMister Rogers...except naked is the comfy-est.
ReplyDeleteLately, I'd have to be the cucumber dude.
Good advice!

ReplyDeleteOh I like that menu! I'm with Boud on the throwing axes.
ReplyDeleteDessert - ICE CREAM!

They're all good, but the last one particularly spoke to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely stealing a couple of these.

DeleteHey Sporticus, do you remember those red foam gag bricks from the 1980's? I wish now I'd kept a few for throwing at my TV!
ReplyDelete@ Tundra Bunny -- I can't possibly imagine WHO you would want to throw a brick at?
DeleteI am liking that cactus one!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, that last one. Yes, we all need to create our own happiness, not matter what.
ReplyDeleteWorld is falling apart
ReplyDeleteOMG! I'm the coping queen. LOL Love these.
ReplyDeleteI’m the one in the craft room, pretending it’s all ok.
ReplyDeleteHot chocolate helps too
I knew there was a good reason I liked Cactus.
ReplyDeleteThe thing about Mister Rogers, even though he changed his shoes and trades a suit for a sweater, he STILL wore the tie.
ReplyDeleteI finally know what's missing in my life––the neighborhood of make believe. Daniel Striped Tiger, come to me for a hug.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The cucumbers, lol. Oh yes, I too long for coping mechanisms; you are not alone.
ReplyDeleteTIP: If you put the stress balls in the freezer over night before throwing them at people, it gets even more of the point across.
ReplyDeleteYup, yup and yup in every single way. I feel like every day we are just trying to cope.
ReplyDeleteI find that yoga is my go to for stress relief during these trying times. An hour or two of focusing on my breathing really calms me down.
ReplyDeleteThe cucumber one is the bestest!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cukes one and I love, love the happiness one.
ReplyDeleteyes yes yes about the tea philosophy. quite sensible.
