For today's Friday Face OFF link party
of art featuring faces, hosted by Nicole of
Nicole's challenge for us this week
is to draw faces portraying one, more, or all
the emotions on her list of prompts.
Coincidentally, I just finished a short
cartooning class earlier this month,
so I decided to illustrate all the prompted emotions
in a typically cartoony over-the-top manner.
Here they are!
I channeled my inner Donald Trump
by using a black Sharpie
on white paper to do these cartoons.
And speaking of emotions,
it disgusted me to even type that,
but hey -- anything for a joke, eh?

...be happy, it always beats what is second place.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you being disgusted, but if it had to be said, it had to be said. Loving these faces. They are very cool. A bet a cartooning class would be fun! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteGreat ones, especially with the thought of doing them!
ReplyDeleteA fearful face behind bars I kinda miss in that connection ... well, OK, that will never happen, I reckon. I mean in real life...
Love your portraits Debra!-Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI love these, and your wicked sense of humor too. Blessings! (BTW, I shared your recent post of farts with my family, and my brother-in-law especially laughed hysterically.)
ReplyDelete@ The Rev. Arnold L. Romero, MLA -- I'm glad your brother-in-law is such a good Fart Appreciator!
DeleteTired and Gonna Barf made me LOL. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYesterday I had to share a link to your post about Willy. Special day!
@ whkattk -- Willy among the Willies! The Bisexual Bard would have been honoured.
DeleteI like the Tired with the tongue hanging out of her mouth!
ReplyDeleteOh I Love all your drawings and can relate to all of them. They are super fun and wonderful. have a lovely Friday and a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThose are all wonderful and so spot on. I think I'll barf any time I hear that man's voice.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Beautiful and funny drawings!!! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI think you covered them all, so fun!
ReplyDeleteSuper expressive!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of being able to convey so much with a few well drawn lines.
Awesomeness.
XOXO
π€£π«Ά These should be part of everyone's emoji library!!
ReplyDeleteYou can post your art, including cartoon art, any day of the week to make me happy.
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic. Your cartooning class clearly paid off—the expressions are spot on! I had to laugh at the 'Sharpie' comment; it’s a dangerous tool in the wrong hands, but you’ve used its powers for good instead of for drawing fake hurricane paths.
ReplyDeleteWonderful expressive cartoon faces so well done ~ Hugs ^_^
ReplyDeleteThese are terrific!
ReplyDeleteYou’re a great cartoonist. Too bad about the dishonorable mention, but sometimes it has to be done.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. You are a talent, Debra.
ReplyDeleteThese are such fun, Debra! Self portraits? They make me think of you. π
ReplyDelete@ Fundy Blue -- Me? Mayyyyyyyybe!
DeleteThat's very creative I love those. If you keep this up I'm going to have to send you my drag portrait, and have you do a Sharpie portrait for me! I would probably frame that!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! You are the best. How cool are these characters? The class seems to have been a success. These are brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing art with FFO and have the best weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and creative exercise. Well done, Debra.
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, Maybe that Happy Person seems just a little too happy. What kind of drugs is the Canadian Health Service prescribing?
ReplyDelete--Jim
Looks like a fun class.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I am reminded of how talented you are, Debra. I love your 'take' on things! Happy weekend! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to the orange shitpile, we're all two minutes from barfing.
The barf one is particularly convincing. Now draw a paper bag.
ReplyDeletesome of the pictures aren't visible on my version of Blogger but the ones I could see certainly captured the brief. Betty
ReplyDeleteThe tired one is me. Hahaha. And I love your sense of humor.

Great drawings, thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat cartoon faces.
ReplyDeleteApollo. I just saw him walking by , the jerk. I have some suggestions to offer.
ReplyDeleteWe were talking about one of the neighbors today. Give me a break. I don't know, she seems like a normal old Mormon lady to me. You know.
ReplyDeleteShe seems to have a fierce and judgemental attitude. But we are going through a problem and my Mormon friend helped me. I think the real Mormons are not like Mike Lee. I hope that we never hear from that bad man again.
Omg dear Debra you are such an amazing artist
ReplyDeleteWhatever genre of drawing you try you do best πππ♥️π₯°
I found the expression so interesting and very well done π€ you rock my talented friend ♥️
I'd barf too if I was pretty good at channeling my inner Donald Trump. I hope you feel better now, hehe. You're very talented.
ReplyDeleteI love these, Debra. You have tremendous talent.
ReplyDeleteTrump makes me barf too! Your cartooning is very well done.
ReplyDeletecan you do one for someone who recently rolled down a grass hill?
ReplyDelete@ Ur-spo -- Doesn't "happy," maybe "surprised," and possibly "tired" (afterwards), cover the gamut?
DeleteThose a bloody brilliant π
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this post. Love those faces. Perfect.
