The sacred hare awakens the Goddess Eostre/Ostara from Her long slumber. The northern hemisphere becomes green and fertile once again; we are blessed with the sun's warmth and the earth's abundance.
This is also the time of year when we partake of Holy Communion by ingesting the chocolatey goodness of Her sacred rabbit. Chant the ancient mantra while doing so: nom nom nom!
Now go ye and fulfill your religious duty.

ReplyDeleteoh yes I will, I can promise that.
ReplyDeleteI love the art in this post (and the chocloate bunnies, my personal fave) , I could not sleep last night, it must have been the equinox that kept me stirring all night, to much energy in the air.I need a chocolate bunny fix,
I also promise to nom nom nom. Not too much though.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your spring weather :)

Blessed Ostara! I hope you have a wonderful day of balance before the light overcomes the darkness. I have cut back on refined sugars, so instead of eating a sacred chocolate bunny today I am making an egg in a basket.
ReplyDeleteTo go and fulfill my religious duty? That would mean to go and worship St. Sex which I will obediently do :)
ReplyDeleteI am nothing if not a faithful servant!! I will obey... :)
