It's Valentines Day!

Well, February 14th is here again. Some people love it, some people hate it. So I've made a point of gathering a selection of LOLs specially tailored for each side of the great divide.

For those of you who like the holiday: Happy Valentines Day!

For those of you who hate the holiday: Die, Valentines Day, Die!

And just one last word to the wise for anyone celebrating today. The only thing worse than taking your valentine for dinner here . . . .

. . . would be something like this:

  2. Happy Valentines Day. Love these. I especially used to love those little candy hearts. We always passed them out in grammar school and it was always fun to see who made a declaration of love.

  3. As an incorrigible romantic, I love Valentine's Day, which is anachronistic for a horrible cynic like me. Regardless, I can appreciate all of these.

  8. :D Happy Valentine's day. I think the sound recording of their voices at the point of saying I Do in their wedding ceremony is awesome.

  12. At least chocolate is involved in this holiday.

  13. Too funny! Actually I like the dinner at McDonalds idea. You know what you're getting foodwise probably at the same price but with upscale service. You're getting some bang for your buck rather than some mediocre prix fixe dinner at some swanky place.

  15. I'm not a hater of Valentine's Day, but I don't particularly love it either. That being said, I'll be going to a restaurant with my love tonight. Any excuse to go to a restaurant is good :)

  18. My partner loves me so much that we decided to celebrate it in different countries. Me here in the UK, and my partner somewhere in the States. Actually I don't even know where in the States. Ha. That's what 27 years of marriage does to a relationship, and I wouldn't have it anyway, coz I love my freedom. ;)

Hope you have a fun day, it's almost over here in the UK anyway. :D

  27. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your Rare One! I've been enjoying your Olympic posts. I wouldn't boycott the Olympics either. Things are slowly improving. I just want to see everyone compete at his or her best and have a blast. I still have to root for Canada ~ Nothing makes me happier than to see the Maple Leaf flying high! The luge video was very funny! Take care!

  29. I use to smoke after sex, now I roll over and sleep; but, I bet the sexually active young people of today grab their phones and check their text messages.

    Happy Valentine's day!

  32. Excellent stuff, eh. I would have commented sooner. However, still going through my huge amount of Valentine's Day cards from my adoring fans.

Have a good weekend and we are getting to see lots of Canadian athletes at the Winter Games. Although, try explaining curling to an English person. Actually, I haven't got a clue myself.

  36. A belated Happy Valentine's Day to you and your Rare One.

I never liked the day much I must confess. Too depressing when you are single, too stressful when you are not. Chocolates are overpriced, so are restaurants dinners, and they are way too expensive. I think McDonald's might actually be the best place for a date on that fateful day. At least you know exactly what to expect.
