Christmas Eve is Finally Here!

After all the shopping, wrapping and running around, it's finally time to kick off my shoes, relax at home, put on my comfy slippies and "happy pants," maybe play a few Christmas carols . . .

. . . and have a nice rum 'n eggnog or six.

But I won't make the same mistake as last year when I made homemade cookies for the Jolly Old Elf himself.

This year I'm just leaving out some store-bought ones for him. No more coal in MY stocking on Christmas morning!

  1. Ha! If you are a snowman, lumps of coal are a good thing! (For eyes, don't you know.)
Merry Christmas to you, Debra! All the best. :-)

  7. I made cookies once. They looked bad but they tasted great. So all was well. Especially as no one else wanted them because they looked bad so I got a whole bag of cookies to myself.

  8. Even I could do a better job with the cookies than that. :D I still have 2 men in my cupboard sorting out my leaking tank. You can take that anyway you want. And that too. Ha.

  14. All good stuff and Happy Christmas. I'm about to go make breakfast or go for a walk. I'm not sure which yet. Maybe I'll go wild, and do BOTH.

  16. Hahaha! Dang.. I never do the milk & cookies thing with my kiddo for santa. We usually go to my brother-in-law's and make/decorate cookies. I think we're supposed to set these out, but we usually eat them haha

I like making snickerdoodle cookies though. But those are for me :)

Merry Christmas & happy New year to you!

  18. I pulled out my recipe for gingersnaps yesterday, then remembered the big sigh of relief I've been letting out every time I put on my happy pants this month and thought better of making cookies.

  32. As a Canadian I always feel that I should apologize - well of course that's what Canadians do but I mean more specifically for Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber and Michael Bubbles. I'm sorry World!
