I can always count on you to make me laugh (and feel better about people). Was just trying to explain the difference between “The Wizard of Oz” and “Wicked” to a Spanish friend. San Geraldo helped, which was no help. He started by telling him there was one bad witch in The Wizard of Oz and she was the one who was under the house. He forgot about Elphaba’s sister in Wicked. I said, “Please stop. I’ll explain it to you both.” As I went on, SG kept saying, “Really? I didn’t know that!”
That witch hat and broom ring had my name written all over it so, of course, I went looking for it online and found it's still available. Too late for this Halloween, but I'll be ready to dress up my finger next year :-)
Love! I want one of those brooms that have cinnamon or something like that and that you hang on the back of a door (am I making that up?) It would be perfect for this month.
Miss Debra, I stumbled upon your blog a while back while hunting memes and pictures for a blog I help a friend moderate and since I enjoy admin privileges I also post. I have had the most fun perusing your blog for months back. I have shamefully, but gleefully stolen a number of your memes and pictures. You are a unique person with a measure of sensability and whimsey. I never knew lawyers could be fun... I too, share a love for the BEE... I had a small goat farm in Alabama and I set up hives and took to learning how to raise and feed bees. A hell of a learning curve, since I was willing I succeeded. Thank you, Kevin
Love all the brooms images. I recall seeing the City of Zurich clean-up crew with (to us, No. Americans) old-timey witchie-poo brooms attached to the sides of their vehicles. Seeing them always made me think of Grimms' fairytales.
They don't have to be original to be fabulous ... I laughed and chuckled all the way through your post. It is nice to have something to smile about even in difficult times. This was lovely, Debra :)
It is DEFINITELY riding season!!! I love all of these, they really made me chuckle! I'm so glad you included your link!! I think my favourite is the witch at the Broom store with her handbag lol! :)
Hello Debra, These are great. I think that today more brooms are used for riding than for sweeping!

ReplyDeleteCute ring..Love the witch sipping tea? on her Broomstick..Classy..Cute post..
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that few of us would have the balance to actually ride a broom. We can dream though.
ReplyDeleteA new dealership, eh? Check out the Volkswagen Brume, I hear it earns Air Miles!
ReplyDeleteLove the broom on the wire. I hope someone thought to put a big splat mark on the street below.
ReplyDeleteI'd actually like to have that ring. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say yes to brooms and no to my car payment

I love your adorable broom memes, but my favorite has to be Margaret Hamilton, the Wicked Witch of the West.
ReplyDeleteSending you an email with a NSFW picture that is exactly what is needed with this post.
ReplyDeleteMy wife values her broom. It was made by an artisan in Tennessee. The handle is sassafras.
ReplyDeleteBlessed be

It's the 21st century. You'd think those witches would be flying Dirt Devils by now.
