Beautiful post. And yes, the solstice is really the point. I've been wishing merry Christmas, happy New Year from force of habit, but the solstice is why it's now. Lovely moon last night.
@ Richard -- Yes, you're the second person to bring this to my attention but alas, I don't know what's going on. Hopefully it's just a temporary Blogger glitch? I have emailed Jackiesue to inquire!
Some very nice solstice cards. Love that it means we're that much closer to more daylight. I don't like the dull gray and getting dark so earlier, so we're on our way.
Debra, I see your name on so many blogs I read, I had to visit! All good wishes for a Merry Christmas, healthy new year and yes, belated Solstice! Here comes the sun! (Well, maybe not in Michigan where I am, but at least the days are incrementally longer!)
Your blog is lovely. I loved your alter and all the fun memes below. Happy wishes to you. ~ jeanie from Marmelade Gypsy
Blessings to you!

ReplyDeleteHello Debra, Happy Solstice! Lately it has been so rainy and overcast here that it is hard to distinguish between day and night, anyway.

ReplyDeleteToday was appropriately somber, cloudy and gray.
I went outside and saw a family of woodpeckers, some juncos, and checked on the pond. The wild ducks are doing ok.
Wishing you a fine Yule. Burn my altar candle this evening.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Hey i went to visit yellowdoggranny and it said the blog has been removed. Is this true? It would be a great loss.
ReplyDeleteI think December would be pretty depressing without a holiday. It's why we have a holiday.
