And again priceless. I think my best friend’s 4-year-old great-granddaughter must be a cat. She said to her mother: “You do what you want and I do what I want. That’s called compromise.”
OMG, that little bastard turning on the light in the middle of the night!!! They were all funny, but it's a rueful humor since they were all so very true. Cats, sigh. So worth it.
Our cat experience only lasted about a year. One cat showed up (pregnant). Then 4 cats. Gave away 2 kittens, kept one. Kitten ran away. Original cat got hit in front of the house.
An aside: My bratty cat, Marcel, is a champion 'flying thing' chaser. He usually doesn't prevail in actually catching much, but does, unfortunately, seem adept at being stung by bees!
All my cats except the last one knew how to be a good bed companion. The last one would not learn he could not sleep across my legs. So for the first time in sixty some years I had to shut my bedroom door. Every morning his two front feet were knee deep under the door.
Here's what I have to say: That 2:00 am gif? Absolutely accurate. I lived with a guy who had a cat who did that EVERY NIGHT. During the week. During the weekend? Not a sound.
Had to laugh at the "adjusts leg" one. Here's my version: Asleep, adjusts arm, cat reacts with all claws fully functioning. I used a lot of bandaids that night. a LOT.
All so funny, all so true.

ReplyDeleteI had a good giggle on all but my fave was "Turns Out My Cat Is A Pervert!"

OMG, all true except for the 2am, it's more like 5:15am here, but LOL!
ReplyDeleteAll cats are high-functioning sociopaths. At least most dogs are happy to see their humans!

The kids got my husband some of those little hands a few weekends ago, so I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m married to a cat now?
ReplyDeleteHysterical. Loved them all.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, the paw in the hair at 2:am. How well I remember.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at the "adjusts leg" one. Here's my version: Asleep, adjusts arm, cat reacts with all claws fully functioning.
ReplyDeleteI used a lot of bandaids that night. a LOT.
Last one was pretty much spot on, but she used to do it in the late afternoon, where people could step on her.
ReplyDeletecats crack me up - it is no wonder their videos are so popular.
ReplyDeleteCats are funny little wise asses!
ReplyDeleteHilarious, Debra! Cats can definitely think and learn and have some level of consciousness. The cat turning the light on is a perfect example!
ReplyDeleteCats are certainly unique! I think you would like this one, he is a character! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=393jPL8fkxc&ab_channel=RachelandJun
ReplyDelete@ Laura Morrigan -- Oh, that Poki! What a brat, LOL!

I snort-laughed at the one with the lamp.
ReplyDeleteSo good. We have a kitty staying for a few nights. I hope she doesn't start switching on lights.
