  3. I went to see Wicked with my older daughter, and I'm still alive.

  4. Oh, that obituary is PERFECT.
Also, I've always feared more the men who burned the witches than the actual witches.
Now I have to go watch Practical Magic again.

    XOXO

  5. Great collection, I LOVE you Obit. I should write something like that. One of my students interns wrote a short article about women with dementia who were tried as witches. Disturbing.

  14. What a great obituary.
I might have to start writing mine to leave for my family pl so they can have a giggle once I’m gone lol

  15. True the fear should be directed to the ones that burned witches alive. Ignorance and fear are more deadly. You have done it again. Fabulous post!

  16. I LOVE that obituary! I should write up something like that while I'm still around, so if I go before the most amazing man in the world, he can post it. My Christian friends and family would have a field day with that!

  17. I enjoyed all your funnies, Debra. But the one that really impacted me was about how we were taught to fear witches and not the ones who burned them alive. I've always thought the "witches" never had a chance. Happy Friday!

  22. I loved the obituary of the great Which, late of Hailey, Idaho. These people are treasures. It is good to know that she was loved.

  23. Hailey is in the other end of state, about 9.5 hour drive.
Coffee is on and stay safe

  24. Cold blows the wind today my love
and a few small drops of rain

I was thinking about my boyfriend

    Anyway, after all that grief
At least we had our time

Go investigate the Childe Ballads. This song is called the unquiet grave. You will find treasures.
Of course they are mostly talking about murders and child abuse and treachery . It is not for the faint hearted.

  25. Speaking of witches, I'm not sure what the definition is. We have all kinds of witches. Also we have brujas and brujos.
It is not a problem. It depends on how you see things.

This post made me think about giving a witch a hug. That is not something I normally do. It would be ok i guess, but then everybody would say that i hugged a witch.!

I don't want to be burned at some stake, or thrown into a pond.

I am not the one to point fingers, but these Christians are getting dangerous.

Not everyone is a witch, and it is not a full time identity.
It is a way of thinking, it is a joke, it depends on the color of the sky.
All of us witches love birds. I can say that.
I actually said hello to one of my neighbor witches today, and later on to another. We have a happy little witch colony.
It would not be to say that we live in fear, but as witches we are always ready.

  26. If my wife dresses up like a witch I'll be doing more than hugging her
