  3. Emma just wrote the story of my life.
    Periodt.

    XOXO

Also, that grandma who used to milk the goats? Give her a medal!

  4. Aging should be so simple as stealing off to the Bahamas and living life with no crap. Alas, the crap seems to be everywhere these days.

  5. It makes me unreasonably happy when a very old lady deals with a young bully who thought she'd be easy to take!

  6. I love them all! Each one contains its own wisdom!

  7. You've made me feel better about being old! Thanks!

  8. Well, Phil Spector didn't get any wiser with age, and he got that life sentence in jail. He could have used the Old Coots' advice, but like most people probably would not have heeded it. --Jim

  9. Considering all of the wisdom highlights I've acquired over the years, I could give Solomon a run for his money.
Is it just me, or has Jamie Leigh Curtis grown more beautiful in her seasoned years?
Oh to have kung fu grip if I reach my nineties!

  10. It might be fun to learn how to milk goats, but overall aging is overrated. I recommend young people stay young forever.

  11. I love these! As an older (cough, cough) woman now, I'm trying to embrace my wrinkles and jiggly bits. It's the painful bits that are harder to accept:)

I always tell young nurses (I work at the Cross), that we're the lucky ones, because we get to be old, not everyone does.

  12. Who knew of the benefits of milking goats?

  13. Emma is spot on!!! Jammie Lee Curtis is great...Have a super weekend..

  14. This is timely for me. I've been grousing about comments like “we’re getting old.” I'm grateful to be aging. Better (to me at least) than the other choice. But getting OLD just pisses me off.

  15. Sometimes I just forget to care. This is the part I enjoy about the aging process. :)

  16. The 93yo could make some money in the BDSM world.

  17. I love being old, it relieves me of so many concerns. Note to self: Milk goats.

  18. The 93 year old goat milking handgrip story is the stunner

  19. I find my grey hairs, a blessing.
Coffee is on and stay safe.

  20. A saying that goesin my family: every grey hair is the result of a successful night of love.

  21. Excellent assessment of aging. Emma has it right.

  22. Ha. "Life in prison" - that's an awesome sentiment.
    Happy weekend, Debra.

  23. I have never seen a booth of Wisdom. It must be worth listening to.
Being natural is a good point.

  24. You get old, wrinkled and slow so might just as well accept it and get on with life.

  25. Oh those are all wonderful! I love Emma, I bet this is not her first life on this rock. LOL!

  26. The Baba from Klaipeda is not to be messed with. You don't know your way around goats without learning a thing or two.

  27. Dear Adam- i fear it too. If you and Eve could only have listened, then we would not be in this mess.

  28. Surprisingly enough, the only gray hair I own is contained in my mustache. Otherwise, I find the older I get the more sympathetic I get with those under the age of 10 and those who work in retail, and on the flip side the less tolerant I become of stupid.

  29. HAHAHA! These are great. Where can I find me an "old coots giving advice" group to join?

  30. That child has truly achieved enlightenment! :D

  31. I like that kid's thinking in the last one. She knew what everyone wanted. I like a life with no crap too.

    Have a lovely day.

  32. Yes one of the perks of age is not getting a rat's ass anymore and not putting up with BS or suffering fools.

  33. I love all of these! I'm thinking about rounding up some friends and having an Old Coots booth at a street fair. Love the 93 year old goat milking granny.

The great thing about getting old is how many fucks are given.

  34. There's a lot to be said for getting old.

  35. Good for you Soja!
    Love all of these.

  36. The older I get, the more radical I wish I'd been when I was younger. After all, it's not like middle of the road delays the aging process.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Unfortunately, society no longer values people over a certain age. You are either "economically viable" or you ain't. Women get it the worst. I do love Jamie Lee Curtis's take on ageing.

  38. i was in love with old people as little girl but again i don't give myself any credit because it was something inside that led me towards them ,speaking to elderly people was special and worth time spending with them

as young girl i wanted to be invisible with the bottom of my heart because i wanted to enjoy the life which i had to spend in hiding myself in shawl rubbish

i am at peace i am old finally
    hugs

  39. Hell, I'm already tired of everything and everyone. What do I have to look forward to?? 😜😳

  40. I LOVE Jamie! That's a great thing she wrote and then that little girl at the end. Brilliant. Both, brilliant.
