I'm linking this post
to Rain's prompt today
as my "twisted" tribute to . . .
ARTISTS and ANGST!
Enjoy!
Did you know Steve Rogers
was an artist before he was
Captain America?
Like a true artist, he's still
full of frustrated artistic angst.
Let's leave the last word on
artists and angst to that expert,
Henri Le Chat Noir --
I love the gloomy cat, angst-ridden. Thanks for reminding us about him.
ReplyDeleteToo funny!! My cat is also an artist.
ReplyDeleteThese are a hoot! Henri of "HenriLeChatNoir" is hilarious. I've watched most of his videos.
ReplyDeleteLove the deer in the headlights. And anything in French sounds so...Jen-Paul Sartre philosophical.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun. Thanks for sharing. So glad our cat doesn't get into our toilet paper :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the Twisted theme Debra! Well done.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha
ReplyDeleteOMG the kitty!
And the guy painting the Federal Reserve!
I'm cackling.
XOXO
Anything "cat" is my favorite ... well, I do like all of these!

ReplyDeleteMy energy button never stays on for very long.
ReplyDeleteSo clever. the Deer in the headlights caught me off guard. Super.
ReplyDeleteit is so hilarious! Love your humors
ReplyDeletePicasso nailed it!
ReplyDeleteDeer in the headlights -- AHAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteArt schools probably relaxed enrollments starting in 1945
ReplyDeleteI was an aspiring artist in my younger days. Sigh....

Dude painting the Federal Reserve in flames is HOT! Even beats Henri, which will be the name of my next black and white.
ReplyDeleteI thought the "Fed on Fire" picture was a photoshop (the dude's pants look like a rock) but no: that's an artist named Alex Shaefer who has done a bunch of incendiary bank paintings: https://twitter.com/paintwithalex/status/1512957143988654082
ReplyDeleteHa. That's my kinda of guy - the one painting the Fed Reserve Building on fire in that very location.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're well, Debra.
@ Old Lurker -- Once again you've proved yourself to be the researcher par excellence! Thanks for IDing the artist and providing the link!
ReplyDelete...you have assembled a fabulous collection, thanks for the chuckles this morning.
ReplyDeleteLove the artist.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could paint.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collection of art today. And interesting side bar with all your bee images. Are they new or have I just been rather unobservant and not noticed them?
ReplyDelete@ My name is Erika -- My sidebar bee images have always been there! Glad you like them!
ReplyDeleteThe expression on the deer's face!
ReplyDeleteGotta love that Henri!
ReplyDeleteThe exchange between the new artist and the old one left me giggling.
ReplyDeleteSo maybe Lucy the basset hound is just a tormented artist? Thanks for the chuckles, Debra, and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what I'm thinking when I do art. I would like therapist to review my work. Maybe even psychiatrist.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
I love this post!!! I giggled my way through it - really love the "Traffic Collision Report". And Henri is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of art laughs! The birds with legs gets me everytime.
ReplyDeleteI am feeling slow today. Jokes go right over my head. The main thing is watching the river because it is looking like an amazing powerful force. It is not an instagram thing. Probably there will be no problems, but it is nice to see.

ReplyDeletehaha made me laugh more of this post for that i am thankful :)
ReplyDeleteagree to switch game of artist' mood so bad sigh
Picasso did not age well. LOL. Thanks for all the giggles.
ReplyDeletePicasso at 90. He didn't really look like that. His eyes just weakened with age that's what he saw in the mirror.
ReplyDeleteThese were all LOL funny ... I am still smiling and I am finished with reading them. So your art painted a smile on my face. Well done, Debra. And your bees on the side bar, how awesome. I promise I will be back to see more ...

ReplyDelete@ Ur-spo -- Great link! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think artschool would have been good for the king. :)
ReplyDeleteHenri cracks my ass up.
ReplyDeleteLove Henri.
ReplyDeleteWe saw some of Picasso's early paintings in the art gallery at Montserrat. He was a talented painter. When you figure Picasso, Dali, and Goudi were all Spanish, you wonder about the drinking water.
Deer in headlights is too true. Done that twice and a moose almost.
I love these so much! Especially the recreation of the car accident lol!
