ðĪĢ It's too much! I cannot pick a favorite! But, I do aspire to perform #1 on the To-Do list. I just don't know what would work best: eat the "mayo" calmly or shovel it in while slurping and snorting? I suppose I'll need to read each audience carefully for the best approach! ðĪŠ
An acquaintance of mine would get terribly airsick and took a good del of grief over it. So one day he poured a can of creamed corn into an airsick bag, walked into the hanger eating it with a spoon. Revenge was sweet.
Plato and play dough!! I was in my first recorder class, brought a soprano recorder as advised in the brochure. One lady brought a tape recorder. She said she was expecting to learn about using it better, not about music. She accepted the loan of a (musical instrument) recorder, and adapted quite happily.
The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water. John W. Gardner
These all made me laugh, Debra. I'm trudging through a philosophy magazine right now. It's serving my purpose of stretching my brain. Have a good weekend!
These really made me laugh. Poor philosophers. Will work for food for thought.

ReplyDeletePhilosophy with a side of humor! I like it!
ReplyDeleteLol the one about the philosopher's dream.
ReplyDeleteThey made me laugh. My brother teaches philosophy. It's easier to find a job than teaching literature.
ReplyDeleteThose first couple were pretty funny with the cats and dogs! Lmao!!!!

ReplyDelete@ Boud -- Hahahahaha! Yes, the name "recorder" can throw some people for a loop, especially in our modern age!

ReplyDeleteI was smiling through the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I got to the Play dough. I snorted. Literally.

ReplyDeleteThose were excellent. I love Philosophy. I just wish I hadn't lost my mind so I could remember it.
ReplyDeletePretty funny. Loved the cats and dogs.
ReplyDeletePretty funny stuff. Even Descartes would laugh.
ReplyDeleteThe philosopher dream is so funny.
ReplyDeleteLots of funny stuff here.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it the philosopher Diogenes who said, "I pissed on the guy who called me a dog. Why was he so surprised?" I say, philosophy is fun.
ReplyDelete@ DB Stewart -- Hahahahaha, your comment made me think of Monty Python's "Philosopbers Song," speaking of philosophers behaving badly.
DeleteWHY did you post this? ð
ReplyDeleteA cat asking do I even matter will never happen. They know their own importance. Loved all the memes.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Yeah, I've got an oceanography degree like that. And I'm sure dogs spend a lot of time philosophising.
