I agree, Val Ewing. For a little different reason, though. I will wear an in-your-face t-shirt, or carry a protest sign that slaps people awake, and I'll argue my point with those who disagree. However, if my car's bumper is speaking for me, I am not always there to protect it. I do not have faith that my car will be un-damaged by someone too cowardly to talk to me rather than my bumper sticker. (sigh 😕)
There was a guy who went to Southgate Mall for about six or nine months. He had a truck and parked where I park every Sunday. His vehicle was covered with Jesus stuff and signs. He didn't have a handicap placard but parked in the handicapped spots, and his plates were from Sask. I wanted to key his truck but nobody would have noticed.
Generally when I see someone with "Jesus" anything plastered all over their cars, I give them room - I don't need some invisible sky pilot to take the wheel if they suddenly start hearing loud voices in their heads.
