  1. When a holiday falls on a Thursday making it seem like Sunday and groceries arrive on Monday instead of Thursday, I start losing the will to live.

  8. I'm not in a rush to take down the tree and the decorations. They lift my spirits. I was in the middle of taking them down in 2021 when the mob attacked the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. I put it all back up and now I take my time about putting things away.

    Love,
    Janie

  10. It is startling how EMPTY normality is once the Christmas interruption is all over and done with.

  11. My daughter and son-in-law called me up and hollered out, HAPPY BOXING DAY!" I already knew that because Canada's holidays are on our calendars too.

  13. There seems to be so much space when the decorations are gone. I leave a string of lights up all year along the inside wall and light them up most evenings. ;-)

  14. I am REALLY glad the stores here did NOT play any Mariah Carey this year.

  15. Unlike River, I was REALLY happy when they play MC this year at stores. However, I didn't enjoy some of the remakes. One actually made my ears ooze blood.
