Please pray (if you are the praying type) for Australia. We are in shock at what has happened in our country. I have spent most of the morning crying. Rita
@ Anonymous (Rita) -- Yes, my thoughts are with Australia too. Here in Canada, we've had our fair share of hate crimes too and it is always appalling to see such things committed by our own citizens, who should know better.
Hello Debra, What a terrible hate crime was perpetrated in Australia, and only a few hours later the news of the horrific shootings at Brown University. But with political extremism and gun nuts running the show, we sadly can only expect more of this.
It was a shitshow of a weekend. As our new, first ever, female Rabbi just installed on Friday said, "Throughout history, there have always been people trying to dim our light. We must not allow them to succeed." (Said in reference to the mass shooting in Sydney.)
May the light burn bright.
ReplyDeleteA heartfelt yes to that
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, dear Debra. Amen, my friend 🧡

I agree entirely with the sentiment that underpinned this blogpost.

ReplyDeleteTotally agreeing with you
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, sat in quiet contemplation thinking of those who's lives have been cruelly taken and others that will be permanently affected.
