Last weekend we visited our son and daughter in law and sweet granddaughter in Chattanooga. Their cat very suddenly had to be rushed to the emergency vet. Tigress, the sweetest natured cat on Earth, had to be put to sleep. So sad. She was 16 and had had a very good life with cat lovers but still, it was very hard.
π»π Dear HRH, I know everyone complains (kiddingly) about cats demanding food, but I benefit from those demands every day. π I am responsible for feeding a small, mostly loving, surprisingly quiet, feral cat colony at my apartment complex. The knowledge that grateful little faces will be "smiling" at me by 6 am gets my old, painful body outta bed at 5:30. No alarm clock necessary...just my heart connected to other living creatures. Absolute joy! π I end up feeling a bit HRH myself! ☺️
That is some excellent advice. Cats will never let you forget to take your meds My friends cat must of taken the advice of never biting the hand. Because her cat bit her leg, it was so bad she had to have three lots of antibiotics before it got better. Her cat is very lucky she’s cute
...eating is important.
ReplyDeleteFrugitaboutit, HRH. You were pampered enough for nine lifetimes. No treats for you!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet little tyrants.
ReplyDeleteConsuelo acts like she's starving even while she's walking away from the food dish!
ReplyDeleteOH! Dear God! That was Etta this morning at 4AM... nudging my C-PAP mask until I woke up. Then the claws kneading into my chest...
ReplyDelete"I'M HUNGRY!!!!!"
I haven't experience in cats, so that is enough πΌπ
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laughs. This morning the dog was telling me he needed his breakfast too. But not at 3 AM at least.
ReplyDeleteI laugh at how my life used to be like this. But I do miss having cats still. I don't miss the litter box though.
ReplyDeleteI have seen that cat expression many times. Often in the same day and generally around feeding time!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Ingo is right then for not wanting cats, though... awwww.... Good thing there is the internet!
ReplyDeleteThese are so funny! Home is where my cat is :)
ReplyDeleteThat video was just about the best thing I've seen online in a very long time. Genius. And so true. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

DeleteOMG I think all of these show how cats really are. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteOne of ours was a pounder, he would just lie on you and pound until you got up.
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing, Debra.
