Monday Murals -- Tarot Cards

I'm taking part today in
Monday Murals hosted by Sami.

Today is World Tarot Day
so I am featuring a mural
depicting three tarot cards.

The cards represent the unknown artist's interpretation of
the Temperance, World and Star cards of the Major Arcana.

This mural was painted on the side of a
pagan, goth and kink "Curio Shoppe"
located in a trendy area in Edmonton
known for shopping, bars and restaurants.

Both the store and the mural are now long gone, alas.

  3. Good mural because it’s an interesting topic, nicely illustrated, and connects to the building.

    1. @ Jackie McGuinness -- Nothing. The building itself was ripped down.

  5. They're beautiful. Damn shame art like this vanishes.

  6. What is temperance holding up? Even enlarged I cannot make it out. Thanks for the lovely cards.

    1. @ Joanne Noragon -- The Temperance card is traditionally about the mixing of opposites, so I believe the alchemist is holding up a bowl of Elemental Fire and pouring it into a bowl of Elemental Water/Ice. That's my interpretation, anyway! Or maybe it's strawberry sauce and ice cream!

    1. @ Parnassus -- My interpretation of this 3-card spread would be: "Pursue a middle path between the extremes of life and you will find fulfilment, your soul's purpose, and peace."

  14. What a cool mural. A shame it’s gone. Every time I see a mural now, I think of you and these posts. I’ve got just a few to share.

  15. What a pity the murals no longer exist, as they were quite interesting and an unusual topic. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Debra.
