Did he FINALLY run afoul
of the criminal law?
Actually, Wile E. Coyote took his grievances
to the civil courts instead and sued
the crappy ACME Corporation for
personal injury damages caused by
all its shoddy products!
COYOTE vs ACME?
Oh, I'm looking forward to this movie!
* * * POST UPDATE * * *
Here's the meme that Leanna of
said in the comments that she was going to send me
(love it, LOL, thanks darlin') --

I always hear beep beep. I named my latest car the Blue Ridge Road Runner. Of interest, there are no Road Runner birds in the Blue Ridge mountains. So perhaps she'll be happier to move west eventually.
ReplyDelete...you sure dig up interesting stuff!
ReplyDeleteOhmygaygawd.
ReplyDeleteTHIS is gonna make me go to a theater full of kids.
Yes.
Beep beep!
XOXO
Acme? Ac you!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for this one.
I didn't understand all this! But Coyote is brave and I like him 😄🎉💪
ReplyDeleteYou're not toying with us, now?
ReplyDeleteI had no idea there was a movie coming out! Will definitely be on the lookout for it.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be excellent, especially for those of us who grew up watching the cartoon. Plus, it's got shades of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."
ReplyDeleteIs it so wrong that I always rooted for the coyote when I was a kid? That roadrunner got on my last nerve!
ReplyDeleteOh hell, no -- I always hoped Wile E. Coyote would catch that annoying little bastard too!
DeleteThe poor sad Coyote. He never wins.
ReplyDeleteThe magazine essay of Coyote v. Acme came out when I was in law school. I found it hilarious. I hope the move does it justice.
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous -- Yes, it originated as a "New Yorker" story, I believe.
DeleteAlways hated that cartoon!
ReplyDeleteI miss those cartoons. Loved the RR.
ReplyDeleteOh no...I just bought an Acme vibrator without checking the brand...
ReplyDelete@ Linda Sue -- Hahahahahaha!
DeleteI thought this might be some sort of hoax ala The Onion, but no, it's a real movie coming out this summer! It must be targeting Boomers... does anyone even watch those old classics anymore?
ReplyDelete@ e -- Good point! With all their violence, racism, and sexism, I can't imagine the old Looney Tunes cartoons get much airtime anymore for youngsters today. Besides, they have their own fab cartoon series now!
Delete@ e -- Turner Classic Movies (TCM) acquired the entire original Looney Tunes canon when Warner Bros. was sold. TCM has been airing them in their uncensored state with movies sharing the same themes.
DeleteSomehow I wish I had known you were going to post this. I have a meme for you. Look for your email.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are saying it's well worth the wait due to the aggravation that the movie studios inflicted upon it (e.g. shelved it after completion because it made them more money as a write-off than as a potential new release).
ReplyDelete@ G.B. Miller -- Well, that explains the joke at the end that the ACME Corporation is releasing this movie "for accounting purposes only," LOL!
DeleteACME, AC you ! Luv it :)
ReplyDeleteWho could ever forget Saturday mornings and The Roadrunner Show with Wile E Coyote.
-CA jock
That last meme: AHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteOh so funny, especially the last one! The hilarious variety of things you find, Debra! You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the link. But I can’t help myself... The final chapter: https://youtu.be/1jHU2bbLJIQ?si=0apyUgIShWg5ruiO
ReplyDelete@ Moving with Mitchell -- OH MY GAWD! hahahahaha!
DeleteI didn't know about the coyote film, I love Looney Tunes, so excited 😆
ReplyDeleteI still have the song from The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour in my head. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat coyote, he's really a crazy clown. When will he learn that he never can mow him down. Poor little Road Runner never bothers anyone.
Just running down the road is his idea of having fun. BEEP! BEEP!
This is kind of a coincidence, as I have my own Warner Bros cartoons post in the works (though nothing to do with this movie or anything ACME-related.)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I've been reading about this movie for years. It's based on a New Yorker "Shouts and Murmurs" humorous piece by Ian Frazer that appeared in the magazine in 1990 or so. The movie adaptation was made a few years ago but then put on the shelf. Maybe Paramount's upcoming purchase of Warner's (or maybe it's the other way around--I get confused) has something to do with Coyote vs Acme finally getting released, though I can't tell you what exactly. I do look forward to seeing it.
@ Kirk -- Yes, apparently this movie has had a long and tortuous path to the big screen. I hope the movie will be a vindication of all who have believed in it over the years!
DeleteAll I need to say is Beep-Beep and I bet if the coyote is under that rock he'd find a way out.
ReplyDeleteLawyers with a sense of humor
ReplyDeleteComing to theaters on August 28th! :-))
ReplyDeleteWow!
Warm regards from Viola
Brilliant! I am also looking forward to the movie!
ReplyDeleteI always felt sorry for the coyote, everything he tried , tried to kill him.
ReplyDeleteThat should be good
ReplyDeleteOmg, I can't wait for this movie!
ReplyDeleteyes yes yes I RUN to see this movie.
