Tattoos With Meaning

This wonderful joint tattoo
celebrates love and connection --

As does this next tattoo belonging to blogging buddy
Captain Kirt of To Baldly Go.... blog
(thanks for letting me use your photo!)

He and his two daughters all got this same tattoo
as "matching ink" for Father's Day this year!

How special is that!

The Latin inscription means "Father & Daughters."

The following ones are simply funny and/or cute!

But these final tattoos are
just plain regrettable,
in my opinion --

  1. OMG that trump tattoo. Insane. And the skull face??? Crazy!
I don't have a tattoo and don't intend to get one.

  2. ...I will NEVER understand the fascination with tattoos!

  3. I love the connected tattoo, but who in their right mind, even if they like the president, would want Trump's face on their body. That's frightening. And it doesn't make you own any lbs as she puts it.

  4. As for the others, I do often love tattoos, but I could never lock in on something I can see myself having for the rest of my life. The first one is risky. I hope their love lasts. The calf on the calf is wonderful. And the scar story is genius.

  5. I would love to sit with you over coffee (or whatever) because I think your sense of humor is just as warped as my own. lol. LOVE your take on things. Have a wonderful weekend. We are under hazardous air quality because of the wildfires. UGH...an inside day with dogs and a grump. lol. xo Diana

  6. The linked tats are cool. But I cant see inscribing that nasty blue color permanently on your skin. I think I'm in a minority.

  7. Father/daughters tattoo is very cute. The Trump tattoo on the other hand scares the fuck out of me, why????? Another uneducated Trump supporter.

  8. I love the first two, and I love the scar crash.
Face tattoos? Oh honey, no, no.
And to spend your life with that face on your back?
I have a few tattoos myself, but they all mean something to me and I've had them for decades and am still loving them.

  10. Generally, not a fan of tatoos. Love the string! The scar one is genius --- a friend had a Zipper done along her scar from a neck surgery.

🤓🤣🤪 I am so owned by the pain Cult Girl went through and, if hubby did the work in that garage, the horrible infection that is coming her way! ☣️
TBH, hubby is pretty talented. TRUMP is spelled correctly and his face is properly ugly. But, the boy made idiot mistakes on the flags! Old Glory don't hang that way and the wave break on the other flag clearly spells MAAGA!! Solid (permanent) B+!! 💩🤡

  13. Nope. No fae tattoos.
I love the one that starts on someone and ends in someone else!
The calf one is hilarious and the scar? Priceless.

The Cankles one is a warning to others. Every MAGAt should have one so we know to stay away.

    XOXO

  14. My favorite is the scar tattoo, makes a lot of sense. I have three tattoos but they're on my hips and butt so most people don't get to see them. All three remind me of something and I think that a lot of people get tattoos for that reason. My favorite tattoo? I had a few patients with a tattoo that said "Fuck Cancer".

  15. No ink for me, Debra. I do like those first ones though.

  17. Is that Trump tattoo real??????? YUK!

  18. No tattoos or piercings for me, I plan to go out with the just the skin abnormalities from too much sun exposure and scaring from a few lump removals. As for the piercings, leaving planet earth with only the holes I was given at birth. If people want to dispose of their income for tats, go for it. But please, get your Roman Numerals correct, I've viewed some real mix-ups online.

  19. I think the linked one is weird! Never mind the tRump one!!!!
I always wanted a catrina, but haven't worked up the courage.

    1. @ Jackie McGuinness -- You've taught me something new today, thanks! I didn't know what a catrina tattoo is, but now I've learned it's a Mexican Day of the Dead tat!
