At the urging of both my sister and
Lady M of Lady M's Haunted Parlor,
I just finished binge-watching all 5 seasons
of the British TV series Ghosts.
Turns out I love the series and recommend it!
Its goofy humour is offset by some
truly heart-wrenching moments when
the sad backstories of the ghosts are revealed.
But there's good news for fans of the show!
Although its TV run is over, they have now made
a movie called Ghosts: The Possession of Button House.
Here's the trailer --

I rather enjoy Ghosts. It's part of my "light" Halloween watch.
ReplyDeleteI would so enjoy all this, but I don’t think I can get SG to watch it. Maybe one for myself.
ReplyDeleteI think CBS created a version of Ghosts for American TV though i haven't seen it.
ReplyDelete@ Bob -- Yes, you're right -- there's an American version and an Australian version too.
DeleteOMG I love that series!
ReplyDeleteYes to the movie and to Haunted Rivalry! Gimme!
XOXO
@ Sixpence Notthewiser -- Hahahaha, yes, I put that Haunted Rivalry meme in there just for you!
DeleteI haven't seen ghosts but a couple of people and you have now recommended it. :) I love the librarian meme.
ReplyDeleteI've seen both the British and American versions of Ghosts. I like them both, but the American version is just a little different. I can't wait to see the movie!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed watching that series. I hope to see the movie too!
ReplyDeleteWait for the ghost to turn the page.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the Brit one. But I absolutely love the US one - which I understand is pretty much a carbon copy of situations but set in New England.
ReplyDeleteYessss, I do 🎃🎃🎃 Indeed, there are more between Earth & Sky . It's a common quote by the way.
ReplyDeleteGreetings by Heidrun
I love the U.S. version of Ghosts and I'm just waiting for the new season to start up!
ReplyDeleteAs for "real" ghosts ... I have seen, heard, felt, smelled their perfume ... nothing to be afraid of and they don't just happen at nighttime!
Sure, I've seen one as a child; I woke up at night and saw one dancing in our Christian tree 👻
ReplyDeleteI do actually believe in ghosts mainly because my sister could see them. She didn't like it and never tried to interact with them except her husband. He appeared to her weeks after he died sitting on the side of the bed asked her where all his stuff was. Well, Michael, you died she told him. I did, he asked.
ReplyDeleteWe watched an episode or two of that.
I watched the American Version of Ghosts for a few seasons, then it got boring and eventually jumped the shark. As for do you believe in ghosts ... I have stories about several encounters that I've kept to myself because no one would or could believe them.
ReplyDeleteI like the ghost that reads.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Good ones. Gave me an idea for today.
ReplyDeleteThe Ghostbusters ree shirt one!!!!! And yes I believe in ghost. My apartment was spirited im sure of it. And not the libations on the bar!
ReplyDeleteI have watched both of the series and enjoyed them both. Love the ghost reading slowly, Debra.
ReplyDeletePretty sure I'll be the reading ghost eventually.
ReplyDeleteI've been curious about this series for a while...will finally check it out. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved Casper the friendly ghost 👻 LOL
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you enjoyed it. I think it is one of the most creative and fun tv series I have seen in a long time.

ReplyDeleteDear Debra, thanks to you, I’ve learned that there is a British original version of the US series *Ghosts*, which I enjoy watching on Netflix! From the trailer, it looks like the British version is more elaborate and exciting, featuring a larger cast of ghosts... but I suppose I’ll have to make do with the Netflix version here in Austria. A pity... but it’s also quite funny!!
All the best from Austria 🤗
Traude
I'm so glad they made the movie. I loved this series too.
ReplyDeleteI do believe in ghost. I've been seeing this series on my TV, I will give it a try.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat snuggled on the ghost's lap.
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I do!
ReplyDeleteThere's no such thing as ghosts so I tend to stay clear of all that bollix. It just makes me yawn.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about ghosts, Debra. Some people in my family have had unusual, powerful ghost experiences, but not me.
ReplyDeleteThat video makes me want to watch that!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Ghosts (the series) but I think I'd love it and the movie too.
ReplyDeleteI love the series but each episode is too short for me
ReplyDeleteI love the story of the slow reading ghost. I've never watched the series but you've piqued my interest, 'tis the season...
