For a next level caffeine high, chew one chocolate-covered roasted coffee bean. One time, I chewed 2 or 3 in one go and I "felt the power" for a whole week, LOL!
I have been drinking coffee since second grade- Scandinavian, you understand. It has little effect. I think the electric cord might do the trick so I thank you for that !
My husband makes the coffee pours himself a cup. I have to take a pill and wait bleary eyed until the proper amount of time has passed before I can get mine. Love the squirrel at the end.
A public service announcement for coffee lovers everywhere! Every single one of these hits home before 8:00 AM. As Kathy G said, the memes are gold, but your comments section running on pure morning java energy is the best part of the day. Have a great one, Debra!
Ha ha. That squirrel. I looked up that Stompin Tom Connors. Funny, there was a guy in the door in college who used to play a lot of his songs. I forgot about him until you mentioned it. Thanks for the memory.
I’m stuck with decaf and, although I’m fortunate to be able to get delicious decaf here, I miss feeling the power.

ReplyDeleteMichael Pollan has written a lot about coffee. It's consumption has literally changed our world. Just as it changes ours daily.
ReplyDeleteI don't do mornings unless I do coffee. Even though I switched to decaf years ago, I still feel that it helps me get going.
