Monday is perfect for posting this tribute to coffee because that's when we're all sleepy, tired from the weekend or just plain old hungover (and no, there's no particular reason why I'm thinking now of you party-hearty guys Barfly, Bryan, Brandon and Workingdan . . . ).
So pour yourself a big cuppa Joe, everyone, gulp it down and then go out there and have a good day, dammit!
can I get a cup of black tea instead? /duckshisheadtoavoidbeinghitbyaclawedpaw/
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a tea drinker, but I'm still a bitch !
ReplyDeleteI start my morning with tea....not a coffee drinker, but the proper type sure can get you moving also...hee hee
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day
YES!!! I'm on my 3rd cup...
ReplyDeleteHA! NO kidding about the 'mundane'. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nod Debra, I think. I actually don't drink coffee. It interferes with my adderall

ReplyDeleteThe last one.
ReplyDeletethe best of the day to you!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't start my day without coffee. I need at least two cups before I'm good to go. Love the 'mundane' image!
ReplyDeleteI sure do need my coffee in the morning. Matter of fact, my pot is set to have my coffee waiting for me. On the rare days I forget to turn it on, I probably wake up the whole building.
ReplyDeleteMary
I had a cup of tea around 6am, and a coffee at 7:30. I'm about ready for another...
ReplyDeleteon my first cup now....still a bitch!

ReplyDeleteit takes me the whole morning to almost finish one cup of coffee. i hate that caffeine buzz feeling.
ReplyDeleteI have actually never been into hot drinks at all - but recently I'm really starting to enjoy coffee - really starting to understand the comfort of it!

ReplyDeleteI'm not into the coffee, but having a good day sounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteI am in desperate need of coffee! I partied hard and even played volleyball. My body is not as young as it once was!
ReplyDeleteMy legs hurt so freaking bad I can barely walk!
I've been called a pot-head before but never did it have anything to do with coffee!
Thanks for the shout out! If I can be known for one thing, it was bound to be drinking and partying!
Happy Monday Debs! And I already do the tip in the last picture, but I get confused and use gin instead! But I like my coffee too!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so it looks as if I'm not the only one who will risk life and limb on the roadway to get my expresso before the coffee shop closes. Nice! And please congratulate HRH on her gold medal!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on the coffee but will say a big heck yeah on a Coke Classic - YUM
ReplyDeleteI'm with Dezmond..no coffee..just Irish Breakfast tea.
ReplyDeleteI'm a total Zombie before I get my morning coffee. If I don't get it, I'm a total bitch.
ReplyDeleteoh Debra, just perfect for this Monday! Lazy beginning on a week, when I'd rather be in bed ;-) with a cappuccino.
ReplyDeleteCoffee! Best invention ever, I think.
ReplyDeleteYep...pretty much agree with all of these!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite coffee includes a klonopin chaser.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find these? Excellent!
ReplyDeletegood going, deb!
ReplyDelete...i finally replaced the god-awful maxwell house with more tolerable melitta... max was all they had at the corner store, some weeks back [shudder]... grocer is some five miles to walk, one way - try it in heat/high humidity... since my car's still not on the road... eventually got a ride from brother-in-law, and first thing i picked up from grocery shelf: reasonably good coffee... so ok, it ain't kona or blue mountain, but hey, who sez life's easy? :P
LOL :0)
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of filling the sink with coffee....
Agreed...LOL....I love a cup of early in the morning....Its refreshing...May be I am a morning caffeine addict....
ReplyDeleteThis link is the perfect compliment to this post. Not only does it feature one of my favorite Grimm cartoons about coffee, but contains a link to a classic Dave Grohl video about his addiction to coffee.
ReplyDeleteHope you like.
