I love Groundhog Day! It is the one "holiday" that Hallmark hasn't taken over. Instead of celebrating and being with people we can wake up, tell everyone to leave you the fuck alone, turn over and go back to sleep. You can bite someone if you want. Fucking bring it on!
Hi Debra, I keep seeing your gloved hands icon showing up on blogs that I'm following, especially in "From Sophie View" and "Ocean Breezes," so I decided to visit your blog and become a follower. As an elementary teacher, I had to deal with Groundhog Day every year, so this post was full of laughs for me. By the way, I loved the last image - it's hilarious and true!
I love Phil! He's so cute with his chubby cheeks! Even though he predicted an early spring, it certainly doesn't feel that way today...supposed to get some snow later.
I was wondering if we were going to get more freakin' cold weather. My poor daffodils are so confused. They came up from the ground during the warm snap we had, then they froze during the snow!
It really baffles me that every year hundreds of media outlets all pretend that a cute fuzzy animal can somehow accidentally predict the weather by maybe seeing a shadow or not. How are we supposed to advance as a civilization if we can't let go of nonsense like this?
That last one made me roar. I'm stealing it! You rock ;-)
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, phil is about a as accurate as all the other meteorologists!
ReplyDeleteHehe #4 :) Come on spring!
