I have always enjoyed Valentine's Day because I don't see it as restricted solely to romantic love. I think it's a great day to celebrate love and friendship generally. But I know that lots of people don't like Valentine's Day.
And for whatever reason, this year all the funny Valentine imagery that has crossed my path seems to come from the haters' camp. Do I detect a fine paw behind this?
But my special Bad Taste Award goes to this boxed set of assorted dictators valentine cards --
Terrible. Just terrible. Makes me feel guilty for laughing.
Grumpy cat never gets old!
ReplyDeleteHahaha...love these, especially the last one! And of course, Grumpy Cat. I can never get enough of that feline.
ReplyDeleteBest Massacre Ever. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Grumpy cat! He can be my Valentine.
ReplyDeleteLOL, happy VAlentines Debs, to you, to HRH and your loved one!
ReplyDeleteYou say it's a great day to celebrate love and friendship, but I don't think Brandon will get the right idea if I send him a Valentine.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a bit of dictator love on this bloody day lol
ReplyDeleteOh happy day!
Hilarious! I, too, adore Valentine's Day - a wonderful day to express your love and friendship. But I do enjoy the warped side as well. And these are great! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh my ever loving gawd... I am falling on the ground laughing at this post. The finger in the candy aisle just says it all... LOL
ReplyDeleteI love to tell my lovelies that I do in fact love that they are in my life and do so because.....I can.
ReplyDeleteBut the first picture is how I personally feel about the day. Never really works out like I'd like it to....and that's alot of never.
Laughing hardcore at the dictator cards......
Thanks for lightening the mood at this olde broads casa, Oma Linda
Grumpy cat gets me every time, and those dictator cards are revolutionary!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, Debra!
ReplyDeleteI have always felt that it was about loving all the special people in your life. My hubby thinks it's a commercial plot ~ but he is taking me out to my favorite place for dinner tonight!
I am loving Grumpy Cat! Martha introduced him to me, and now so are you!
I think those dictator cards are the funniest valentines I have ever seen. Not the kind I could have given to my third graders. These are hysterical!
I've been looking at your golden image to the right of the dictators. I've seen it on your posts and somewhere else. Are those wasps? Do you know the source of that image? It is fascinating.
you always make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteQuit Stalin.
ReplyDeleteOMG that made me laugh!
Thank you!
I'm like you. Hold the candy and flowers, but love and friendship will always be accepted. I love Grumpy Cat. He has the sweetest face.
ReplyDeleteMary
Oh grumpy cat, you always have the right idea. Valentines, meh, just another day for now but I'm sure I'll love it one day. Either way may love shine down upon you with lots of chocolate, Debra.

ReplyDeleteO love those. And I dislike Valentine's Day: depressing when you are single, stressful when you are not. It makes me anxious either way.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day Debra! LOL! You're the best!!!
ReplyDeleteI do believe I smell some cat hair in this! Happy Valentine's Day sweetie!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I can't believe those cards. But the Tardar Sauce/Stevie Wonder one is classic! I got that a few weeks ago and want to frame it...

ReplyDeleteLOL - pleading Not Guilty!
ReplyDeleteGrumpy cat is the best dictator!:)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am a hater of most holidays but I like Valentine's day because when my kids were little I made a big deal of them being my valentines. So, I am going to wish you a Happy Valentine's day anyway. xo

Wow, Birdie -- that is the most elaborate and creative emoticon I've ever seen! Yowza! And the dragon is so cute to boot!
ReplyDeleteThat last one was, hands down, the very BEST part of Valentine's Day for me! Ha ha! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteeeeeeeeeehawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that the Dictators made me smile?
ReplyDeleteGood grief! I suppose they are the updated version of the the cards the boys used to buy and sent out when I was a kid, ie You look like a million dollars Valentine - all green and crumpled.
ReplyDeleteI suspect that Valentine's Day was created to make single people feel bad about themselves. I know I always hated it when I was unattached. Even as a married man, I still feel uncomfortable with it.
ReplyDeleteEw that bottom card--just ew. But I admit the Grumpy Cat ones were making me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI somehow knew you would sneak some grumpy cat in there! All of them are awesome. I especially got a chuckle from the last pic. Be Mein? Amin love with you...is it wrong that I find these hilarious?
