Unicorns have a pretty silly image in popular culture at the moment.
Not as silly as those of us who like or believe in them though.
But at one time, unicorns were not silly figures of fun but serious images of purity and freedom.
More on those serious unicorns tomorrow.
Seems like someone made a typo a couple thousand years ago and it should be unihorn?
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Unicorns, and that little kitty unicorn is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteMary
Well, of course unicorns are real! How can anyone question that? :)
ReplyDeleteyou mean they poop rainbows? Such delight!
ReplyDeleteMy unicorn can beat up your gargoyle.

ReplyDeleteI had never envisioned a unicorn with a rainbow in that exact locale before.....hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteMy kitties have learned to live with unicorns and dragons ... they haven't grown horns or wings .... yet.
ReplyDeletevery enlightening!!I watch out for those caticorns, lol
ReplyDeleteCaticorn! {{snicker}} Love it! Mustn't let Gomez see that! Cause he thinks he's mighty special!
ReplyDeleteAnd I do love the quote from the Faery!
My secret (not so secret now) is to have a cat-unicorn with glass bat wings.
ReplyDeleteLove the kitty unicorns! They're fabulous! Lol
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I love those kitties!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea they crapped rainbows. :D
ReplyDeleteThat black cat looks seriously pissed off.
No doubt the black cat has made someone pay. They are likely dead from a tragic fall down the stairs.
ReplyDeleteAre you try to tell me there not real????? Tell me someone glued that horn on the horse out back!
ReplyDeleteI always thought unicorns farted rainbows.
ReplyDeleteThey look cool.. love those Angel wings!
ReplyDeleteSo that is where rainbows come from ;o)
ReplyDeleteI simply love Unicorns. I have a book that is a copy of a book that was supposedly written long, long ago by monks who were protecting what they believed to be a Unicorn's horn. The art work is beautiful and I love opening it now and then and flipping through the pages.
ReplyDeleteYeah, unicorns have really made a come-back. Purity and freedom, huh? Interesting. The would could use a lot of both.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Debra.

Unicorns are well cool. I always wanted to be a Unicorn. I shall improvise and put a toilet plunger on my forehead.
ReplyDeleteGary, eh :)
Ha! Fun post… although I do find the cat unicorns to be a wee bit creepy actually….
ReplyDeleteYou mean some people have never seen them! Next you'll be telling us there is no Santa Claus!
ReplyDeleteI've loved your funny comments during my travels :-)
Thanks for coming along on my trip.

I fall off my unicorn daily! LOL
ReplyDeleteCats see things that we don't see. Our cat will suddenly take off from the couch and dash through the house - I am sure she is chasing fairies.
