They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
--From "For the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon
LEST WE FORGET
We had 2 minutes of silence in church yesterday. I wouldn't be here today writing this if it wasn't for the many people who lost their lives so many years ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you to all who serve to keep us safe. Peace.

ReplyDeleteThank you to all the brave men and women for our freedom and safety.
ReplyDeleteThanking all those who served so that I may be free. You are not forgotten.

We thank them today and always for their service and the lives given.. xox
ReplyDeleteHappy remembrance/veterans day
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra, very nice tribute. We need to remember those that are gone and those that remain. Those that remain need to be cared for too, something often overlooked in the US.
ReplyDeleteWe with those words, you managed to make every single hair on my body stand on end.
ReplyDeleteThey shall live on, for as long as we take possession and exercise they rights they fought so hard for us to have...
they have given us all something to carry with us throughout our days here...something we take for granted often...a beautiful post shared to honor and remember each and everyone who choose and chose to put us before themselves...much love light and blessings~
ReplyDeleteAmen to that. Happy Remembrance Day/Veterans Day.
ReplyDeletePerfect. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debra.

ReplyDeleteWith respectful silence, I remember those who served, never to return. Those who continue to serve, may they return.
ReplyDeleteAlways a highly emotive time for me.
