Happy Canada Day!

Well, it's time again to celebrate the wonder and the glory that is Canada! You know, there's a persistent stereotype that Canadians are extremely polite, perhaps even excessively polite.


I don't know where people get that idea.




In actual fact, we Canadians can get all worked up just like anyone else.


And we don't apologize more than other people.


We have our disputes and by gawd, we don't back down.



So please do not believe that false stereotype about our legendary politeness. Sorry if anyone has been misled by it. Thank you for your attention to this post.

    I have met a fair number of people from other countries in my lifetime. I have found the majority of American tourists (in America) are fairly rude. The exception being those of Southern upbringing or the elderly. Those I have encountered from Europe are polite but not chatty. But I have always enjoyed meeting Canadians, they are fun folks!

    I've loved every minute I've ever spent in Canada. Not only are the people nice, but the flowers are beautiful. I couldn't get over the flower boxes on every corner in Toronto. In America, those impatiens would be pulled up, torched, and ground into the gutter. So, happy Canada Day!
