Here's Mike Reilly, quarterback of the Edmonton Eskimos, hoisting the Grey Cup in victory after yesterday's game! Edmonton won the championship game 26-20, although the Ottawa Redblacks certainly didn't make it easy by taking an early first quarter lead.
Looking forward to the victory parade here in Edmonchuk in a couple of days or so!
P.S. Mayor Iveson and City Council -- it's time to restore our signs and put the slogan back!
Okay what sport are we talking about here? :D
ReplyDeleteMy NFL team the Carolina Panthers are currently undefeated, I think the win record is 11-0 so far. They usually do so-so to sorta good every year, so I'm hoping they make it to the Superbowl. It'll probably be them vs the Patriots
ReplyDeleteI thought the term "eskimo" was considered an ethnic slur, no? Parades are fun...unless you're the guy who has to clean up afterwards.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Edmonton on being the best at the Sportsball. Or whatever sports/ball combination it was this time.
ReplyDeleteI guess that good news!!!!!!! What are we talking of? Some kind of drinking game involving a cup?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeletehot damn..congratulations..I checked on news last night to see who won..was so excited for you...wheee
ReplyDeleteWell, you know what we say here in the states, it's not a championship until the rioting starts.
ReplyDeleteWell okay our Redblacks lost but it was - they tell me 'cause what the hell do I know from feetsballs - a tight game. I love tight games!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Edmonton..... And I even smiled when I said it.
Yay!! I'm just happy your happy. Lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Bundle up for the parade.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea for the new name..Is hockey season over already??? Seems like it just started..Glad your team won..
ReplyDeleteThat's my team - yay Eskies!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd in the COLD! Such a hearty bunch! I enjoy our football game .....the best......I remember swooning over the Oiler's when they were the dreamiest hockey team! Congratulations !
ReplyDeleteA couple of decades ago the only TV I received was Canadian. For ten years, nothing but Canadian news, entertainment, and sports on the only 2 channels I could get. I still miss it.
ReplyDeletetell me again what is the difference between rugby and american football?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI know a couple of 'champions' in Edmonton already!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know the Grey Cup was on.
ReplyDeleteHooray, Edmonchuk! And I really mean that - no rivalry here because I couldn't care less about football. Sacrilege, I know. I'm more of a hockey person - sort of. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Edmonton! Well done!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Edmonton!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Edmonton! Take lots of photos if you're going to the parade.
ReplyDeleteHi human, Debra,
ReplyDeleteWell done to the Edmonton Eskimos! I love the CFL and the Grey Cup. Over in the UK, my human mentions the CFL and they just give him weird looks. Then again, he gets weird looks all the time :)
What next, Oilers making the playoffs?
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses,
Penny xx
Congratulations - I hope you are partying in celebration.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't just love Canada, I love Edmonton, Alberta in particular. It's most special to me. Go, Champions!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I have a friend who lives in Edmonton... I'm just not sure how much she likes sports.
ReplyDeleteso you are a sports fan, a very proud citizen of Edmonton, or both.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely sports ignorant, but congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo. Congrats. Hope you got yourself some celebration nookie after the win.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! I'm so happy! My hubby goes in for sports, though he hasn't achieved anything yet, but I'm sure he will some day. This post made his day really. Thanks a lot!
