Here's another quirky quiz that I swiped from Anne Marie in Philly over at From My Brain To My Mouth. She told me "DOOOOO EEEEET!" so how could I not?
Links within my answers usually lead to old posts of mine on that topic, if you're a masochist who wants more gruesome details.
1. Are you named after anyone? Debbie Reynolds. That's what I get for being born in the 1950s.
2. When was the last time you cried? Chopping onions.
3. Do you like your handwriting? I have beautiful handwriting because I'm so old we were taught and actually practised penmanship in school.
4. What is your favourite lunch meat? I do love a nice deli-style corned beef on rye if I can get it.
5. Do you have any kids? Not that I'm aware of.
6. If you were another person, would you be friends? Hell no, I wouldn't give that bitch Debra She Who Seeks the goddamn time of day.
7. Do you use sarcasm? See #6.
8. Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, last time I checked. However, I seem to be missing 18 inches of colon, in case anyone finds it lying about.
9. Would you bungee jump? I second Anne Marie in Philly's answer to this question -- FUCK NO!
10. What is your favourite cereal? Probably Multigrain Cheerios. I'm so boring.
11. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Always. My Rare One never does but I've learned to leave that issue alone.
12. Do you think you're strong? Strong like bull, baby.
13. What is your favourite ice cream flavour? Tiger tiger (also called tiger tail).
14. What is the first thing you notice about people? If they have a nice smile. No, really.
15. Red or pink? Pink is better. Red usually means a communicable disease of some kind.
16. What is the least favourite thing you like about yourself? Nothing. It is SUCH a burden to be perfect. My Rare One might disagree on this point so don't ask her, okay?
17. What colour pants and shoes are you wearing right now? My green Kermit the Frog pyjama bottoms and blue-and-white fleece slippers. I know -- ROWRRR!
18. What was the last thing you ate? A protein bar.
19. What are you listening to right now? Eurythmics Greatest Hits CD.
20. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be? Burnt Sienna. I just love the name. SO much more evocative than "brown."
21. Favourite smell? Wild clover growing on the prairies.
22. Who was the last person you talked to? Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He asks for my advice ALL the time.
23. Favourite sport to watch? Hockey, of course.
24. Hair colour that's real? Yes, I have never dyed my hair. It used to be a beautiful chestnut brown but is now considerably frosted over.
25. Do you wear contacts? No. The thought of putting anything in my eye freaks me right out. I have only ever worn glasses as a consequence.
26. Favourite food? German pancakes with icing sugar and fresh lemon juice. Bet you didn't see that one coming! (Okay bj of Sweet Nothings, I know you did!)
27. Scary movies or happy endings? Oh, happy endings every time!
28. Last movie you watched? Captain America: Civil War. Six times. I can't help it, I'm obsessed with Steve 'n Bucky.
29. What colour shirt are you wearing? Red t-shirt depicting the World's Largest Perogy statue in Glendon, Alberta.
30. Summer or winter? Any true Canadian will pick winter. It's hockey season, eh?
31. Hugs or kisses? Depends on who is on the other side. Sometimes a firm handshake is all they get out of me.
32. Favourite sweet food? Sky-high lemon meringue pie. That's My Rare One's fave too.
33. What book are you currently reading? Tuck Watley: Freedom Fighter Fighter by Bryan Pedas and Brandon Meyers (the boys from A Beer in the Shower). FUNNY AF!
34. What is on your mouse pad? Traditional Hawaiian art.

39. Do you have a special talent? Ask My Rare One *wink*
40. Where were you born? In a one-horse prairie town in the middle of nowhere, Manitoba, Canada.
WELL, I certainly feel like I bared my soul in THIS post! Hey, if anyone else wants to do the same, please feel free to steal the quiz and answer it too! I'd LOVE to read your answers!
Steal this? I'll probably do just that thanks. These were some really interesting answers. I guess hockey seasons is how Canadians tell the difference between summer and winter. It's not like the weather will be much of an indication.
ReplyDeleteI kid because I love of course.
This ...
ReplyDelete"Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, last time I checked. However, I seem to be missing 18 inches of colon, in case anyone finds it lying about."
... is responsible for my morning spit-take!
Ginger Minj? Sweet bejesus, now I've heard everything....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Eurythmics giggle... for some odd reason the kidling called them the Eurythmatics until she hit her 20's.
ReplyDeleteI used to be afraid to admit it but this Canadian does not like winter or hockey. Winter here means unending rain and dark.
ReplyDeleteI do like the meadowlark though. And Kermit. And the only way I would bungee jump is if I was already dead.
I would steal the quiz if my answers weren't mostly the same! Except I'm without talent hidden or otherwise, Netflix addict and Rolling Stones.......can't eat breakfast 😂👍🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteBorn Debbie, changed to Debi ( love Cher)
I knew I would like You! ✨🌟✨
I may just steal this quiz myself! I love your answers
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed getting to know you a bit more, Debra.
ReplyDeleteThe meadow lark song is beautiful.
I love this. I have something similar in the 'about me' section on my website. I might have to incorporate some of these questions though...
ReplyDeleteYou have such a wicked wit, Debra! This was great fun! And one of my favorite sounds has to be the song of the meadowlark. Certainly it's the sweetest and purest! I'm stealing your quiz ~ rather I actually get around it remains to be seen! Still stuck in a frantic pace where I am! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'd rather bungee than jump out of an airplane but I'd prefer to stay closer to the ground period.
ReplyDeleteDamn, these are some great answers. #6 gave me an out loud chuckle. And maybe your 18 inches of colon is on the lam with my tonsils, because I can't find those sumbitches anywhere.
ReplyDelete(Also, glad to hear you're enjoying Tuck. You're awesome AF)
No idea what ice cream flavour Tiger Tiger is - not something we have here, and I like your choice of smell - it paints a lovely picture.
ReplyDeleteI love your answers, Debra, maybe because they are so similar to mine. And, I LOVE the Western Meadowlark! It's one of my spirit guides. Coincidentally, it is also the state bird here in Oregon. I have a button with a meadowlark pinned to my commute bag.
ReplyDeleteYou know what is as lovely as wild clover growing on the prairie? Sweet grass. A whiff of that will stop me in my tracks, just for the happy occasion of breathing it in.
Cheers!
I LOL'd at #15....really loud too! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll probably do this next week. You are such a snarky bitch. ahahahaaahahaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteI love reading the answers when others do these questionnaires as I feel like I know more about you but I hate answering questions myself.
ReplyDeleteYour answers are great. I, also, have no idea of the ice cream flavour Tiger Tiger but I will be looking it up shortly.
You are a hoot, Debra! I really enjoyed this. And I am absolutely going to do it. SO much fun!
ReplyDelete#1 - cool; such a beautiful woman
ReplyDelete#22 - yeah, right...(sarcasm)
#29 - SERIOUSLY?
glad you chose to play along! if I find your missing colon, I'll send it home.
Such fun answers!! When will you show us that beautiful handwriting? Many many hugs!
ReplyDeleteLoved your answers! I have never heard of Tiger Tiger....I must google that. And your wearing fleece slippers?!? In this heat?
ReplyDeleteHa ha, thanks for a good laugh. So you'll be giving us all more information about your 'special gift' in the next post then? *wink*
ReplyDeleteI may well have a go at lease once I get over the jetlag.
Oh, Kermit the Frog, that´s a great outfit! Pic or it didn´t happen!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteLove this quiz. Going to grab it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant giggle... some of your answers made me snort my tea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so open and I must admit I haven't seen your missing colon yet, but if I do I'll certainly forward it to you pronto!
So many funny answers... thanks for giving me a good chuckle this afternoon :D
hahhaa...I so love your humor...:)
ReplyDeleteand I, too, love German pancakes...just never tried (yet) them with lemon...well...lemon curd...does that count..?
Fun..Love your answers..Your tonsils have probably disappeared by now. They tend to atrophy. Never heard of Tiger tail icecream..
ReplyDeleteThat was fun! And a lot of work for you - it's quite a long quiz. I wonder about that ice cream! Must be Canadian! xoxo Silke
ReplyDeleteFun read! I just had to click to the The World's Largest Perogy statue. That is quite interesting.

ReplyDeleteNumber 5 made me roar.
ReplyDeleteYou are funny. I enjoyed reading this entire thing. You always crack me up.
ReplyDeleteI like many of your answers. Especially the Meadowlark.
ReplyDeleteI actually learned something about you. We are similar in many ways. I don't like contacts either. Nothing in my eye. I don't run or jump or bungee jump because I am old and old people break things all the time. Tiger Tiger is my favorite ice cream too. I always get it at the local ice cream shop.
ReplyDeleteOh Debra, what a hoot! Just love your # 6...and 7 follow up! Crack me up! Have a wonderful day! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteafter almost 12 years of doing my blog..everyone knows everything about me.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to answer it but it's pretty hectic here at the moment.
ReplyDeleteDebra, I love your entertaining answers! I'm also not a fan of contacts and I enjoy writing in my pajamas.
ReplyDeleteGreat line about having your tonsils, and missing 18 inches of your colon. But I do hope you're feeling ok.
The "Rare One" is lucky to have you!
Julie
the last time I did something like this it was to list the alphabet from A-to-Z and answer each letter with a favorite thing beginning with that letter: About three-quarters of the way down I decided I couldn't post the results because most were sexual and too crude... A difference between male and female?
ReplyDeletethe Ol'Buzzard
They say (whoever 'they' are) baring one's soul is good.
ReplyDeleteI know you now a little more than before.
You always make things fun, Debra.....you should be on the stage.....
Some nifty and intriguing answers. Plus, an idea for a post, which I will politely borrow and give credit to at the same time.
ReplyDeleteFather Nature's Corner

ReplyDeleteLove reading your answers! I want to see the World's Largest Perogy statue now! I love Lemon meringue pie too!
