Halloween Creepy Crawlies

Spiders do us humans a great service, actually.

But are we grateful?

It's enough to turn spiders off flies forever!
And then what are they gonna eat?

Some humans even genetically experiment with spiders,
like some kind of Frankenstein or something.

But is the result truly a fully functioning arachnid?

So can you blame spiders for occasionally
genetically experimenting with humans?

Let this be a lesson to us all.

  1. Ok. They’re helpful and master craftsmen. But have you ever woken up with a spider bite? Argh!

  4. My daughter is so petrified of spiders. I try to stay away from them when I can, but don't have the extreme fear that she has. My fear is mice.

  6. The bigger the spider, the more likely it's going to perish.

  8. I am actually a big fan of spiders. They do eat flies and are beautiful in their own way. I re-homed some to the room above the garage as the flies up there were out of control. True to form, the spiders have taken care of my fly issue. So thankful for them.

  12. I don't mind spiders so much...but not in the house. I was napping one day and one was on my face. That was not ok.

  13. I have a spideress named Olga in my bathroom and two spiders Sergei and Andrei in my bedroom ceiling. We have a mutual agreement that they can stay there if they protect me from other bugs!

  17. Never before did I think about how smart spiders are. Why not go for the pizza versus another fly? Pepperoni too.

Have a great Friday and weekend.

  19. I've always been terrified of them, unless they are tiny. Just seeing images on my phone or in a magazine will make me shriek!

  21. Ha ha! Spiders creep me out, but if they leave me alone, I leave them alone. Actually I leave them alone regardless. Happy Friday! I hope it has been a good one!

  22. I haven't seen a spider in some time in the house, but it's those damn thousand leggers things I can't stand. They're fast disgusting little suckers.

  23. Poor spiders.... I actually don't mind them at all. Centipedes, too. I consider them very beneficial. They keep the house clean. Whenever they're around, the other bugs/pests are not.

  27. hahaa...pretty cute...I had a spider bite under my eye several years ago and had a totally black eye the next morning.

  28. I like spiders for their helpful bug catching. I've found that if you leave their webs alone long enough, they also filter dust from the air. I do draw the line at having them crawl on me. That's a clear violation of my personal space.

  30. Spiders are fine - outside; but my cats are spider commandos so I don't have to worry about waking up with on in bed.
In Alaska my wife was bitten by a brown recluse: she had to go to emergency room: it got pretty nasty.

  31. I let some of them live in the house if they do a good job and don't bother the rest of us. Fascinating critters they are!

  32. As long as they stay out of my bedroom, I am fine! LOL! I woke up once with a spider bite under my eye! Not good! Happy Thanksgiving Deb! Big Hugs!

  33. I am horrible when it comes to 8 legged things! I have always been afraid of them even though I know they are so wonderful to us people. My husband and I saw the largest one we have ever seen the other day now that we love down south. It was the size of my palm...not exaggerating! It turns out they are common down here so maybe I should go for therapy so I can deal with them easier.

  34. I loved the scene in Annie Hall when Diane Keaton called Woody Allen late at night to come over to kill a large spider in her apartment. He stood in her bathtub with a tennis racket and various apparatus swinging away at the spider. It was very funny. Sorry I'm not as brave as you are and tend to be more like Woody Allen's character in the movie.
