Hello Debra, Yes, we need to start getting in the mood for this all-important holiday! Can you believe it, I went to the store yesterday (in Taipei) and they were already playing Christmas music. If they had any class at all, they would be playing eerie theremin music all month.
Speaking of Ouija boards, I once illustrated the Chinese equivalent: https://roadtoparnassus.blogspot.com/2013/04/mystery-object-revealed-chinese.html
@ Parnassus -- Your post on Chinese planchettes (spirit-writing pens) is fascinating! I have never heard of these before. Such beautiful carving too! Thanks for the link.
Those boards have never worked for me, but I know plenty of people who claim that it has for them. According to them, my skepticism is getting in the way. If the thing would just move by itself, trust me, I wouldn't be skeptical!
How funny these all are...you are sooo good at this. Growing up, we had so much fun with Ouija boards...some of the mothers wouldn't let one be in their house. LOL
Good ones ! Do they still make these? I remember them from my teens,

I'm terribly scared of Halloween, friend D as I do not see any purpose in it. Anyway, c.
ReplyDeleteI played it a bit during my teenage years, due to peer curiosity. If it was a ghost that manifested itself, it was a drunken one.
