Today is the Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere -- the first official day of Spring! In pagan tradition, it is the date sacred to the Goddess named Eostre or Ostara. Her sacred animal is, of course, the fabulously fertile rabbit, prolific creator of new life after the long sleep of winter.
And what a long, hard winter it's been!
We're all looking a little . . . harried . . . by it, aren't we?
Time to put on our Spring Finery!
Maybe even indulge in some Bunny Bling!
Don't let life get you down!
Be creative!
Enjoy whatever pampering you can get!
And never miss an opportunity for a snuggle!
bunnehs! happy spring!
ReplyDeleteOh that last gif gave me the warm fuzzies! Happy Oysters!
ReplyDeleteOh. My Goddess.
ReplyDeleteBunny bling? A bunny hoodie? Bunnies in a stroller? Yes, please.
I couldn't wait for Spring to be here. I love the season. Pollen gets to me but I just love all the green popping everywhere.
Yay for Eostre!
XOXO

ReplyDeleteRabbits giving head, who knew?
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, In Ohio, little rabbits hopping around are one of the first signs of spring, and I always see plenty of them on my summer visits. I have often noticed how they seem willing to relax with birds and squirrels, and even deer, who are the newest frequent inhabitants of the Cleveland suburbs.

I'll have to forward this to my rabbit-owning friend. She lets her bunny range free in her condo and the floors are a bit... dodgy. But, she loves Bun and who cares? It's her house!

Nasty Blogger won't let me post a comment on the book entry - I prefer 'real' books for their feel and smells and haptic pleasures they provide.
