Yes! She Who Seeks blog is ELEVEN years old today! Wow, that's a lotta years to have been pumping out stolen cartoons and memes, assorted cat videos and miscellaneous balloon juice, isn't it?
Putting together this post, I discovered that "eleven" is NOT a particularly exciting or famous number. It's hard to build a theme post around it. This is the best I could come up with.
A super slow speed limit --
That kid named Eleven from Stranger Things --
The old British tradition of a mid-morning snack called "elevenses" --
No one ever says "behind the eleven ball" --
This is really stretching it, I know, but
7-11 and its famous slurpees
(at least this has a bonus unicorn, yay!) --
Hockey legend and Edmonton's favourite son Mark Messier,
who always wore number 11 on his jersey, whether playing for
the Edmonton Oilers, the Vancouver Canucks or the New York Rangers --
Yup, that's it. Pretty sad, eh?
If you can think of any more famous or exciting elevens, help me out in the comments, willya?
look a hockey player with all his teeth! happy blogoversary!

ReplyDeleteYours is a year older than mine, but I think you've been with me from the very beginning! Time flies!
ReplyDeleteThe only famous 11 I can think of is--well, let's just say you can find it in the title of a Michael Moore movie.

ReplyDeleteHappy 11th blogversary! I can't think of anything else that is eleven related and exciting, except maybe elevenses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elevenses
ReplyDeleteI'd disremembered elevenses. I think you should mount a campaign to bring it back into fashion.
ReplyDeleteAnd my, thet Mark Messier could stretch his jaw, what?

ReplyDeleteOh, how quickly you forget Saskatchewan's Highway 11, where moose are moose and men are afraid....

ReplyDeleteEleven years of posting, Debra! Way to go! Loved the "elevenses" image. Whenever I hear that word, I always hear Pippin in "The Fellowship of the Ring" movie saying, "What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper?" when Strider is leading them away from Bree. Have a great weekend!
