The risk of being bitten by a vampire increases
at this time of year, you know.
No matter where you live, whether at home . . .
. . . or abroad.
Be sure your vampire killing kit is
fully stocked and at hand!
Be afraid!
Be very afraid!
But . . . is Dracula really still the threat he used to be?
The modern world is taking its toll on vampires.
Even a yoga class isn't safe for poor old Drac any more.
Sometimes pickings are plentiful,
plentiful enough to share . . .
. . . but sometimes a hungry vampire just has to "make do."
However, Dracula and his kind still walk among us!
They are devising new blood-sucking strategies all the time!
So this month, be safe and don't open your door to anyone!
The most troubling trend is the emergence of this new breed of vampire that is more interested in dating then they are in creating horror. Such characters are chronicled in books such as The Twilight Series. This is indicative of the sad stats of the world these days. It is a serious abrogation of responsibility.
ReplyDeleteWell actually Brian when I watched the first Twilight movie I screamed, cried and clawed at my eyes in horror!
DeleteAWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteRarely do I LOL when I enter a site as I did today with the vampire meter. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a little tickle.

Love the hungry vampires...Cute post!! Be careful out there..
ReplyDeleteI saw Dracula when I was a youngster and wished I hadn't. I remember getting my father to put a special bolt on my bedroom window so that I could have it slightly open during the summer months but nobody could get in!!!
ReplyDeleteI have only one question: where can I find a vampire killing kit? I need one STAT,
ReplyDeleteXoXo
The Gary Larson cartoon and the last one... Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLittle known fact: in the novel Dracula and in folklore, vampires can walk during daytime.
SCIENCE SAVES LIVES!!!
ReplyDeleteThese were hilarious, Debra! Thanks!
It's impossible to pick a favorite ~ These are wonderful, Debra! Thanks for providing a hilarious end to my day!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Mistress Maddie, I'd welcome a bite. It's been a while.
ReplyDeleteAs always, your humor is delightfully warped. Love that Far Side cartoon.
ReplyDelete"May we come in?" I love that but not as much as I love the one with the mirror. Great memes, Debra!
ReplyDeleteElsie
Oh so funny!! Do you remember the show Dark Shadows from the 70's?? It was so scary to me as a kid!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are so good. Great work! We bought our Halloween costumes today!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Science Saves Lives one. I wonder why Van Helsing never thought of that.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha, those are great Debra! I LOVE the Weekly World News...I'm sure we have some redneck vampires round here too lol...funny coinky dink, I painted Bela Lugosi this week!
ReplyDelete@ Busy Bee Suz -- We didn't get the TV show "Dark Shadows" where I lived in Canada as a kid. But I read all the books adapted from the TV show! I loved Barnabas Collins!
ReplyDeleteLove the last one. And the science saves lives one.
ReplyDeleteThe Bible says the moon has its own light.
ReplyDeleteIt's not very good with science.
The vampire killing kit is great. I'd like to have one, just in case.
ReplyDeleteI'm slightly embarrassed to say this but I don't really know what a vampire is! Geez.
ReplyDeleteOh vampires! The first thing that came to mind was the old soap opera Dark Shadows... and I noticed others around my age mentioned it too! May favorite funny sexy vampire was played by George Hamilton, "Love at First Bite" back in the late 1970's. Great post Debra, better stock up on the garlic!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a small child, I couldn't hear the break in between the words 'Bela' and 'Lugosi'.
ReplyDeleteHis name, already somewhat exotic, sounded like: 'Bel-la-la-go-see' to me.
Great name, great Dracula.
Vampires are the best horror icon.
ReplyDeletethe Ol'Buzzard
LOL, I just started re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (well, rewatching is a strong word. I'm more having it on in the background to get in the October spirit).
ReplyDeleteI guess "Bite me" is not a good thing to tell a vampire.
ReplyDeleteI love this so much..
ReplyDeleteDeb, how long does it take you to make these posts? LOL! They are such a treat! Thank you! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe science one was my fave.
