Drac Attack!

The risk of being bitten by a vampire increases
at this time of year, you know.

No matter where you live, whether at home . . .

. . . or abroad.

Be sure your vampire killing kit is
fully stocked and at hand!

Be afraid!
Be very afraid!

But . . . is Dracula really still the threat he used to be?

The modern world is taking its toll on vampires.

Even a yoga class isn't safe for poor old Drac any more.

Sometimes pickings are plentiful,
plentiful enough to share . . .

. . . but sometimes a hungry vampire just has to "make do."

However, Dracula and his kind still walk among us!

They are devising new blood-sucking strategies all the time!

So this month, be safe and don't open your door to anyone!

  1. The most troubling trend is the emergence of this new breed of vampire that is more interested in dating then they are in creating horror. Such characters are chronicled in books such as The Twilight Series. This is indicative of the sad stats of the world these days. It is a serious abrogation of responsibility.

  16. I saw Dracula when I was a youngster and wished I hadn't. I remember getting my father to put a special bolt on my bedroom window so that I could have it slightly open during the summer months but nobody could get in!!!

  33. Oh vampires! The first thing that came to mind was the old soap opera Dark Shadows... and I noticed others around my age mentioned it too! May favorite funny sexy vampire was played by George Hamilton, "Love at First Bite" back in the late 1970's. Great post Debra, better stock up on the garlic!

  34. When I was a small child, I couldn't hear the break in between the words 'Bela' and 'Lugosi'.
His name, already somewhat exotic, sounded like: 'Bel-la-la-go-see' to me.
    Great name, great Dracula.

  36. LOL, I just started re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (well, rewatching is a strong word. I'm more having it on in the background to get in the October spirit).

  37. I guess "Bite me" is not a good thing to tell a vampire.

  38. Deb, how long does it take you to make these posts? LOL! They are such a treat! Thank you! Big Hugs!
