I know that in nearly 12 years of blogging
I have never, ever posted a recipe or
showed you a single photo of anything
I've cooked or baked.
* * * BUT * * *
I'm thinking that perhaps
I should now turn this blog
into a FOOD BLOG.
Because who doesn't love food blogs?
And really, how hard can it be to create one?
I mean, I know all the foodie lingo already --
And I can make appetizers like nobody's business!
I'm a whiz at soups too --
Entrees are no problemo for me.
Even desserts are simple!
I'd feature some terrific cocktail recipes too!
But rest assured,
I hate liver, fava beans AND chianti.
So, whaddya think?
Time to go all FOOD BLOGGY?
some of those items look downright DISGUSTING! some are funny, like fish & chips. and HOW THE HELL does spaghetti catch fire?????
ReplyDeletemy blogger friend blobby does a food post every now and then. I say go for it! but don't crowd out HRH the cat for a food post!
Funny! I got a kick out of this post! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteLol. Love it! It would be a great idea!
ReplyDeletei think a lot of this is happening at The Blog Tech's new house.
ReplyDeleteVery cool stuff. The banana preparation looks tricky.
ReplyDeleteI've never posted a recipe either, and rarely read food blogs, but on Thursday, as a kind of protest, I was very near to photographing and posting one of my all-time favourites - fish finger sandwiches with piccalilli (seriously delicious). Maybe I'll do it next time.
ReplyDeleteI'm'a be busy for a loooong time trying out those recipes you just posted!
ReplyDeleteWow I had no idea you were such a good cook. Yes you need to turn this into a food blog.
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, I have featured one or two recipes in the past, but for Chinese specialties like bai mu-er (seriously delicious). Maybe I'll dust off my kitchen and give you some competition.
ReplyDelete--Jim
OMG, hilarious.
ReplyDeleteOn the burger: Cry loops=Onions? Brilliant!!
A humorous food blog...maybe but to many good blogs seem to disappear.
ReplyDeleteTrailer park cuisine! I've totally LOST MY APPETITE.
ReplyDeleteI think you promised long time ago and never fulfilled the promise :)
ReplyDeleteAll your recipes look far too complex and sophisticated for me to ever follow. I vote you keep your blog as an everything blog, the way it is now. That could include food occasionally, after all.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow food blogs, but if yours turns out like this one I'd be a faithful follower! I do love a pretentious weenie.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you are spot-on. :)
ReplyDelete"Dairy blankets". That's kind of cheesy.
ReplyDeleteOnly if you carry comprehensive vomit insurance for your followers!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is a recipe for laughter. That's a BIG bowl of fish and chips.
ReplyDeleteGreat post ~ what a hoot!! Looks like you and I cook in a very similar way! Actually, I cheated and married someone who enjoys cooking, and is very good at it. that's why my waist size is what it is!!
ReplyDeleteFish and Chips with Cheese Cake! funny! funny! thanks!
ReplyDeleteAfter viewing these pictures and memes dear...id say no to your question.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I have posted the odd food recipe, and, back when I still tended bar, I think I posted a cocktail recipe or two as well.
ReplyDeleteIf you were to post tongue-in-cheek things like those above, then I would enjoy it!
OH My Goodness! Debra, these are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a couple of these floating around FB.
I may have LOL'd a bit too much HAHA!
Oh please do it. The world needs more spaghetti-o eggs.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll be following you for more recipes. These are the funniest food blog posts I've seen - minus the last guy.
ReplyDeleteFood blog ONLY if it's more of these memes.
ReplyDeleteYou know what I think? I think we should follow you for more recipes.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought Hannibal would make a killer restaurateur.
ReplyDeleteUnless you can cook an entire meal using only a candle and an empty plastic coke bottle the way they do on the really cool "hack" cooking sites it's a no go!
ReplyDeleteNo, there's too many of them.
ReplyDeletePlease, No.
ReplyDeleteYou appear to be quite talented, my dear . . . uh, I can't think of anything else to say.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteOmg I got he hiccups.
Hahahahaha
XoXo
OMG. So funny. Sadly, it looked very much like my cooking skills.
ReplyDeleteWhy my dear Debra, would you mess with perfection, now excuse me while I go laugh and giggle myself silly.
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it - I would definitely follow your food blog.
ReplyDeleteI should stick to what you know best and carry on being Debra at She Who Seeks.
ReplyDeleteThe brown-cheese cake recipe would be delicious. But if you’re going to write a food blog, you’ll need to credit me in future when you include one of MY recipes... i.e., the banana!
ReplyDeleteI don't quite think that my cooking skills every got that bad. But I do think that the deviled spaghetti-o eggs is a winner.
ReplyDelete*snort laugh* I'm waiting for Hannibal's full color cookbook too.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so wonderful and laugh out loud funny, but you already know I'm partial to that cheeseburger!(lol) Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteI cackled like a fiend the whole way through this post! So funny!
ReplyDeleteI will always prefer:

Hee hee hee hee hee...too funny! Fava beans with a little Ch-chianti. :) I LOVE the fish and chips ha ha!

ReplyDeleteAhem … ooookkkaaayyy … sure, why not, friend D … give it a try and start one on u tube … I'll subscribe … bell and all … for sure … smiles. Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteFish & Chips didn't translate - those were crisps! 😅😅😅
ReplyDeleteHAHA! So funny. I LOVE those 'follow me for more recipes' memes that are springing up all over the internet.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite...ice cubed soup. Saw it awhile back on FB, but still made me laugh seeing it again.
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on your food, but I'll go for your laughs anytime, Debra! LOL. The weiner and ketchup is too funny. Terry is in Vegas, but I went out for dinner with two friends tonight. I could have had ribeye steak or scallops or ahi tuna. What did I choose with Terry gone? ~ a grilled bologna sandwich cooked more than the one you featured. OMG it was good. Sometimes you just have to have a little taste of Newfoundland! All the best ~ Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteLove the eggs with Spaghettios! Fish and chips is brilliant too! That man has balls pouring his vodka into the soda in public like that.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this one?? Your food blog would be HOOT as already proven..Love the cheese cake..and the Fava beans Clarice..look how young he was..
ReplyDeleteOh ! The fish and chips is priceless !!!
