But at least the government
is doing all it can . . .
. . . which is very helpful!
Let's all band together!
Yes, I use the correct term for the virus now,
not the generic term.
I'm classy and intellectual that way.
And speaking of classy --
Most Canadians are trying
to observe the new rules.
As people are doing everywhere, hopefully --
My Rare One found and sends
this next meme to
all her peeps out there!
Toilet paper still seems to be
the world's most valuable commodity.
Screw gold!
And how am I doing, you ask?
Well, keeping busy, of course.
Still working full tilt on
my new food blog!
That first meme is pretty much the truth... I like your new cover photo on the blog, btw! I giggled thanks to most of these memes, Deb. The last one, though... Mmm! ^.^
ReplyDeleteOh, you! I laughed and smiled all the way through and then you had to include those baked beans. Blech. Blech. BLECH!
ReplyDeletethe hockey stick and the kubasa got my attention; 6:50a (NOT tim horton's) with coffee and a granola bar.
ReplyDeleteLOL... I stole some good ones...
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, The first signs of hope, like those of spring, are showing. Yesterday I was able to buy a package of eggs! Of course, we only get ten in a package, not a dozen as in America, and Jumbo is only an adjective for jets and elephants.
ReplyDelete--Jim
these are all hysterical!
ReplyDeleteThe Grace and Frankie meme got me! LMAOOO
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously, Canadians may have jumped into this thing right on time. Don't let COVID19 (i feel like that doggie as I type this) create there the tragedy is creating here.
XOXO
Oh no, are people doing the hoard-all-the-toilet-paper thing in Canada too? I'd hoped there weren't so many crazy people up there.
ReplyDeleteAbout the virgins and volcanoes, please don't give them any ideas. The lieutenant governor of Texas is already talking up human sacrifice to get the economy moving.
Love the vodka watermelon!
That's a very practical baptism! Do you have everything, Debs?
ReplyDeleteYou find THE BEST memes out there! (Or I just have the same sick sense of humour that you do). Have a good day! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThe TP ones made me snort!
ReplyDeleteIf someone coughs on you closer than 2 meters it is a Near-Cough. Tell them to Far-Cough.
ReplyDeleteSee I knew Buster wasn't the only one to wear glasses.
ReplyDeleteAnd that knit toilet paper doll holder had me cracking up!!!!!!!!!!! Dare say near sprayed my coffee Debs. Only because my great Aunt Olive had one.
Your posts always crack me up. And I need a good laugh right now as the news is bleak.
ReplyDeleteOh, these have broken up a lot of phlegm in my chest! That roadkill tp roll cured me!
ReplyDeleteJust what I needed! I thought the TP cozy couldn't be topped and then it was-so many good ones! Thank you :o)
ReplyDeleteIntrovert on lockdown - "I've been waiting my whole life for this."
ReplyDeleteOCD hand-washer - "I've been waiting my whole life for this."
:) Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteI use an olive for my beanie-weenie-tini, because I'm fancy as all get out.
ReplyDeleteRoses are red.
ReplyDeleteViolets are blue.
These memes were so funny...
That I stole a bunch from you! :D
Once again performing your vital public service and giving us laughter! Thank you, Debra! Is it bad if I say that you've been on a ROLL lately?!? ;^)
ReplyDeleteCopied the tp one to my group of legendary rollers
ReplyDeleteI stole the tp one.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, as ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the temporary relief from the impending doom. I laughed till I cried. P.S I'm also stealing a few memes. Stay safe and well! ~ Diane
ReplyDeleteNext phase of social-distancing for Canadians: sharpen those hockey sticks!
ReplyDeleteLoved the alternative baptism and Johnny Depp memes too...
That’s an open carry I could get behind.
ReplyDeleteOne need not be carnivorous to appreciate all the meat on that bone.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these playful memes.
Stay safe and healthy.
Once again, thanks for all the grins, giggles and guffaws! And thanks for stopping by my blog ~
ReplyDeleteThese are freaking hysterical!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha another funny batch of memes! Well done.
ReplyDelete:D Thanks for this, Debra. It's always good to fight the blahs with some humor. x
ReplyDeleteHoly Crap I'm on my way to grandmas to snatch that roll of TP under her crochet doll THANKS FOR THE TIP!!!
ReplyDeleteNot enough TP jokes! Seriously!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for trying virgin sacrifices again, but good luck finding a virgin!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! These are all hilarious! I'm over 40, so that roll wouldn't stay hidden for long :)
ReplyDeleteSome very funny ones here!
ReplyDeleteAt times like these, humor is very important
I don't know how you do it, Debra. These are so funny, especially all the toilet paper ones. Captain Jack Sparrow made me think of Terry leaving Target on Wednesday. He finally found toilet paper. We'd been looking for two weeks. Thanks for the much-needed laughs!
ReplyDeletePeople are still out and about, we'll never learn.
ReplyDeleteI love these; as long as we can find humor in the crisis, we are beating it.
ReplyDeletethe Ol'Buzzard
Love the toilet paper cozy! I didn't know the Amish used toilet paper. Still no toilet paper available for purchase in our part of the world! I feel like there will be a round 2 of this when shelves are finally re-stocked. Luckily we stocked up on wine and beer as those were my panic items. Our favorite store was expecting to close 2 days after we were there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for my morning laugh. Be safe and elbow hugs.
ReplyDeleteAs long as we can keep on laughing then everything will be okay and everything will be okay. Take care and be safe.
ReplyDeleteI laughed about the toilet paper and had to show those to my son. When we walk the dogs in the evening, we see people socializing at the park while maintaining social distancing. People who can't go to the gym are working out, side by side, but apart. Some people sit in a circle to talk and laugh, but leave a good distance between themselves. What concerns me is the children on the playground equipment. Unless they are all from the same family (and they aren't), then, sadly, the children should not be playing together. Playing children don't think about social distancing.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The OCD-me, the one that is usually well hidden, is concerned that they named it Covid-19. It might be rational but how much more pleasing would Covid-20 sound?
ReplyDeleteAnd that reminds me I must blog about the prophetic dream I had.
An excellent first-thing-in-the-morning read! And, while I haven't seen that particular item carried openly here, I suspect it is true!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a variation in the volcano meme replacing the word "virgin" with "billionaire". I laughed. :D
ReplyDeleteHave seen some of those, but nice to see again. A very good collection there, hard to pick a favorite. Thanks for laugh, we sure are in need of them. Take care, wash your hands.
ReplyDeleteThese are great Debra! I have an old wooden yard stick I found at a flea market one time, Alex said I should walk around with it to enforce people to stay away from me when I go shopping lol...I am intrigued by your food blog! I'm so busy,if I miss the grand opening, can you let me know? xx
ReplyDeleteThe Picard one on top is way too close to home...
ReplyDeleteAlso to be suuuuuuper pedantic about it: "Covid-19" is the disease caused by the "SARS-CoV-2" virus.
https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/technical-guidance/naming-the-coronavirus-disease-(covid-2019)-and-the-virus-that-causes-it
LOL Brilliant, especially the virgin in a volcano :-) Thanks for a good laugh Debra.
ReplyDeleteSilli-icious!!! Love it. Love it. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think? Is it harder to acquire a virgin or a volcano?
ReplyDeleteNext month there'll only be one olive in that martini...
ReplyDeleteit's a virus meme bonanza out there.
ReplyDeleteThat last one would be something that my wife would definitely eat/drink, as she likes beanies and wienies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the morning chuckles.
Late, but loving it!
ReplyDeleteI like the spinning the crapper paper around to now, like I'm opening a safe. It's funny because that was me. Though it's something I was working on before the END OF TIMES! But I hadn't gotten it yet but now, I got it. Safe-like, is my new normal.
ReplyDeleteeach one made me laugh dear Debra
ReplyDeleteyou are brilliant in your selections
i am surprised how you are not doing it on professional bases ,it is gift you have believe me

Lol Thanks Deb! Thank your Rare One too! LOL! Big Hugs!
