Running Off With The Unicorns

Yes, I know I said I'd be back to
regularly-scheduled blogging in August.

But I'm not ready to end
my blogging break yet!

So I'm running off with the unicorns
for another month!

This is how I'll be safely spending
my time here at home --

➤ Drinking more coffee.

➤ Eating healthy, nutritious meals.

➤ Baking more goodies.

(Speaking of baking, this is where
sprinkles come from, you know.)

➤ Watching more TV.

➤ Continuing to read more actual books!

➤ Enjoying summer's sunshine and warmth!

(Thanks, Mitchell of Moving With Mitchell,
for letting me use your fab photo!)

➤ Basking in glorious sunsets while
sitting on my balcony.

(Yes, I know that technically this isn't
a unicorn cut-out, but it SHOULD BE!)

No need to fear for me,
or wonder where I am,
or what I'm doing,
or put up "Lost" posters to find me . . . .

HRH and I
will be
just fine!

But I intend to pop back in
every Wednesday or so
with a new post just to
keep from getting rusty!

  1. good for you! ew, sprinkles come from pits, ew!

PS - down here in phillyland, they are called "jimmies". if you ask for "sprinkles" on your ice cream sundae, we KNOW you're not from here. :)

  2. Hello Debra, Canada must be a diverting place indeed if you prefer it to your hordes of deprived admirers. We'll look forward to your check-in posts.

  7. I'd say that the first photo is a FINE specimen of a unicorn, Notice he is at least 15 hands at the shoulder, with well defined muscles, and impressive markings.

  16. I didn't know unicorns sometimes have fluffy feet.

  17. I was going to ask why is it not unihorn? So I looked it up. ...
Middle English unicorne, from Anglo-French, from Late Latin unicornis, from Latin, having one horn, from uni- + cornu (horn).

  19. I'm more of a dragon kind of guy, but I do like unicorns. Blonde Tickler adores unicorns, which makes it easier to find presents for her.

  20. Ew, now that I've learned where sprinkles come from, I don't think I want to know the origin stories for the other sundae toppings!

Have fun spreading chaos throughout August, Sparklefarts...uh, I mean Sporty!

  22. I don't have a unicorn so I have to rely on George. I asked him if he wanted to send you a message. He said, 'Tell her never to trust a unicorn who offers you a ride.'
I asked him why and he said, 'You don't want to know.'

  24. My eye skimmed over the title and I thought it said 'Running off with the Ukrainians'. Lol. Either way, eh?

Awesome memes, the sprinkles made me guffaw!

  27. Please don't get rusty. No one wants to see a rusty unicorn. I like the armpit shaving sprinkles unicorn. Actually, I enjoyed writing that last sentence.

  28. Ha ha, I thought you typed you would "POOP" back in! Hey, I am tired and there was a lot of poop jokes with the unicorn, so you can forgive me, right?
Made my day to see your post even if I am "POOPED" today!

  29. My niece is crackers for unicorns; she would love all of this.

  30. If it wasn't enough that he's sexy as hell, that hunk in the top photo has an erection coming out of his forehead.

  31. I like your taste in healthy cereal and the cookies look delicious - despite the secret ingredient! That unicorn really made a statement in those hot pink socks. Thanks for my new appreciation for unicorns!

  32. Oops...I just realized the unicorn was wearing stunning shoes, not socks. Sorry about that.

  33. I used to collect unicorns - fluffy or figurine - back when I had space on the shelves. I still have most of them.

    Thanks for the charming photos!

  34. Unicorns are very wise creatures. The one winking outside my window just told me so. I hope the sunsets are glorious!

  35. I might need to borrow that unicorn! And enjoy your break...

  36. Debra, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say my daughter and her girlfriend got married this weekend. The church is closed, of course, so they went to the JP with four others and did the deed. I'll blog about it later but she was so excited to share her joy and bathe in the support she received. Sometimes life is good.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ Barbara -- That's so wonderful! Congrats to the happy couple! And I love to hear of weddings full of support from family and friends. I've been to too many same-sex weddings where one side of the family or the other refused to attend and condemned the proceedings. I've seen brides crying in the bathrooms on their wedding day and that is just so not right. I'm glad your daughter and her wife will start their new life together with only happy memories!

  38. Unicorns are fun Debra. I want to thank you for your sweet comforting words you left on my blog. Since you are no-reply blogger, I have to tell you here.

  39. You'll never rust, Debra. You've been keeping things sparkling around blogland, even when on vacation.
Thanks for that and for the "unicorn fist" reference.
