I'm having a BLOWOUT online Halloween Party
this year and you're all invited!
Here's what's on the menu so
dig in and enjoy!
First up -- spooky sushi!
But if you don't like fish,
there's pizza!
And for all you vegetarians,
there's candy corn on the cob
(that's a banana in the middle) --
There will be an assortment of healthy dips too,
if you don't mind moving the spider.
Plus cookies, of course.
Mmmmm, I'm stuffed!
I barely have room left
for a nice cup of coffee --
And the best thing about an online party is --
there's no calories!!!
I wonder that they used to make the pumpkin go pop? The sushi looks delightful.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I'll have the cheesecake, please. -Jenn
ReplyDeletethis is so cute. i love the pizza box and the slice planchette!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so inventive and spooktacular...thanks for the invite!
ReplyDeleteI'll be there if I get my broom out of the Broom Shoppe by Halloween...damn cursesππππ☕π»
Why this post reminded me of a more gruesome Halloween party when we were oh, so much younger, I don't know. Maybe it was all the food stuff.
ReplyDeleteThere was a story told in the dark about a solo pilot who crashed his plane nearby...and the narrator would pass around various cooked or raw foods: peeled grapes, cooked spaghetti, chicken livers, un-popped popcorn kernels, ham bones, etc. to show what was left of the poor pilot to the horror of those listening to the tale.
Happy Halloween!
It wouldn't be a Halloween party without mice running all over the table.......
ReplyDeleteI'll take pizza and cuppycakes and cookies. and cheesecake and "corn on the cob".
ReplyDeletethe sushi looks cute, but I don't eat raw fish.
Skeleton and Gelatin? HILARIOUS!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is no calories.
Are those demon mice on the cheesecake for HRH?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this makes me hungry or nauseous?
ReplyDeleteNow I want dessert!
ReplyDeleteThat skeleton in gelatin though....
Lmaoooo
XoXo
Lots of cute ideas here - I will have to remember them for my next Halloween party. I especially love the sushi!! It is easy to make it vegan too.
ReplyDeleteThat piece of pizza would never make it to the ouija board.
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic. Since candy corn is my all time favorite treat I really like the candy corn on the cob. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome photos. I am sharing this on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteAs alway, brilliant finds/selection! I wish I could find candy corn here. I'd be in the kitchen know cooking up some ears of corn. That is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThe mice take the cake.
ReplyDeleteFun party..Very creative items there..Cute cupcakes!! Eerie mice!!
ReplyDeleteI love these, so fun!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I wish I had kids.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! What am I saying?!?
I'd love a real Halloween party. It's hard this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this fun post and party π
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I'll be there!!
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, Such clever ideas, all of these! In Cleveland I had an assortment of Halloween cookie cutters--skull, witch, rat, ghost, spider, etc.
ReplyDelete--Jim
p.s. In Frank's story, what were the unpopped corn kernels supposed to represent? Or even popped ones, if that was a typo?
Since this is a calorie free feast, I'll have the Ouija pizza and Gingerdead Men cookies!
ReplyDeleteI do wonder how many cat paws ended up in the pizza box though...hopefully, HRH and her cat coven have been out in the woods all day!
@ Parnassus (Jim) -- My guess would be that the unpopped popcorn kernels would represent the teeth knocked out of his head, but I'll double-check that with Frank and report back!
ReplyDeleteThanks - I love a party, and will there be games too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I drink my coffee black. Just keep my voodoo doll.
ReplyDeleteWe actually didn't use popcorn kernels, But I thought that they would make good teeth. I think jello was also one of the tactile body innards. Cow's tongue was on the list, but not readily available.
ReplyDeleteHi Frank and Debra, Thanks for the info. I think I had heard an alternate version of this story, so I didn't pay attention to the "crash" part. --Jim
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're set for the party. What time! Food looks too good - think I need to go fix my lunch.
ReplyDeleteOh, that slice of pizza should definitely be pointed to "yes"!
ReplyDeleteI'll have an extra serving of that candy corn on the cob, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI really should make gingerbread before the holidays are over. Skeletons, turkeys, maybe Christmas trees before it's too late.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing! I'm just going to help myself to some cheesecake :)
ReplyDeleteI love all this, the missus tends to do most of the Halloween stuff in our house since I'm usually working. If I'm about on the night I tend to be sat round the firepit toasting my family who have left us.
ReplyDeleteSome people have so much patience! For something that will disappear in one mouthful!!
ReplyDeletethese are FABULOUS! I liked them all.
ReplyDeleteoh dear never saw such spooky food
ReplyDeleteit may hurt my stomach lol
enjoy your Halloween enthusiasm my friend :)
These are such creative treats! The candy corn on the cob looks fantastic, even though candy corn isn't... delicious. The skeleton on gelatin is hilarious. Great selection, Debra!
ReplyDeletethere is nothing you can do to sushi to make me eat it.
ReplyDeleteI would say that Halloween sushi inspired me to seek some out, but really I don't need an excuse to enjoy sushi... or Halloween.
ReplyDeleteI loved this! Some people are amazingly creative!
