I was going to steal those jokes for Saturday. But they're pictures so I would have to type. Too much work.
The last one is a Mike Peters cartoon. He's a second cousin of mine. He used to live in St. Louis and a lot of his family still does. I see him occasionally at family gatherings. I gave him a cartoon idea once and he used it. I think I see a post coming up.
I love Linus and Lucy in the "pumpkin patch." Linus looks the way I do when I enjoy a little something. The Bare Bones display is cute. Someone on my street has bare bones in his yard, but they're riding a ferris wheel. I don't know why, but it appeals to my love of the whimsical.
That first pic sure started me off with a smile, which I needed after reading about Andrew, and all the rest of the pics too. When I was a kid my mom was seriously hooked on that Ouija Board, and I remember using it a few times too. Makes me want to see if I can find one around.(lol) Hugs, RO
Some great ones as usual. Can't decide my favourite. 'Just because I'm smiling ...' is quite apt most of the time, but the chat between husband and wife is also familiar.
Hi Debra, The Kid's Meal and the Carving are my favorites today.
ReplyDelete--Jim
Love that Frank in Stein especially!
ReplyDeleteThe Kids meal one, reminded me of early efforts to market "baby food" in parts of the world, the meaning changed in translation in freightful ways.
ReplyDeleteHow many kids are in the Kids meal!
ReplyDeletePriceless.
Snort. Funny stuff. I suspect it's actually Linus who had a go at that gingerbread house after smoking the "pumpkin" patch.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so good, my favorite is the cabbie and the nun! :D
ReplyDeleteooooooh, that first pix is a good one! that person is VERY clever!
ReplyDeleteI read the "cabbie and nun" joke out loud; arteejee and I had a good LOL. he also liked linus in the weed patch.

ReplyDeleteBWAAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAAA! How many kids are in that kid's meal. Now that's a good one.
ReplyDeleteFrank in Stein! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Halloween cheer.
@ Mike -- That's cool to be related to a syndicated cartoonist! Yes, do a post about it!
ReplyDeleteThe Ouija board is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteLucy was had. HaHa.

ReplyDeleteI liked the last one most
ReplyDeleteHalloween brings some kind of normality to this harrowing time.
ReplyDeletethe Ol'Buzzard
My son loves Sesame Street books and Cookie Monster.
ReplyDeleteI knew the nun joke, except when I heard it it was a far more explicit version.
I feel like my husband and I have definitely had those 2 kinds of people moments :D
ReplyDeleteI knew I couldn't be the only one who smiled wistfully, while picturing certain people on fire!
ReplyDeletethanks for the laughs - many good ones - I'm stealing the cabbie joke
