  1. And you're terrified it's going to be positive.

  4. I can't believe the race is so tight and still undecided. After four years of John Iselin or Buzz Windrip as POTUS, seriously? I'm both anxious and angry and I'm not even American!

  5. The anxiety and stress are sky high right now...

  6. Perfect analogy. Dread, pure dread

  7. LOL, you are so right on that!

  9. You're absolutely right.
The symptoms are: unbridled fuckery and widespread corruption. It seems we have it. The cure is at hand, the question is, does the country want it?

    XOXO

  10. Not just the whole country. I see the U.S. leaving the Paris climate change accord came into effect today.

  11. I wanted a landslide. Silly me. Half the country is demented. Yes, I know. We all need to learn to get along. But how?

  12. I'm a little calmer today, Debra. It's probably exhaustion from being so uncalm yesterday. My siblings keep calling to make sure I'm coping. I'm just happy that there is no civil unrest so far. One hour at a time!

  13. The majority of us seem to be A-OK with racism and I find that sickening.

  14. I feel your pain, America. Who would have thought there'd be so many brain-dead voters left after 4 years of the orange ass-monkey?

We have our problems here too, yet I AM TRULY THANKFUL TO BE CANADIAN!

  15. Yes, it is stressful. I stayed up until around midnight on the 3rd, hoping for definitive results. We have more hateful people in our country than we thought, and it's disturbing.

But Biden is winning. The stamina of all those tens of millions who stood in line for hours to vote is paying off. Trump is whining and pouting and threatening lawsuits which have no conceivable legal basis, but the fact remains, he's losing.

  16. I posted this exact comment on another person's blog, so excuse me if I plagiarize myself.

    The latest electoral results:

    Biden: 264
    Trump: 214

For months Biden supporters have been encouraged to mail in their ballots rather then show up on Election Day. Well, when enough people do that, it takes a little longer to get the count right. Biden won handily, and we would have known that Tuesday night under normal circumstances.

  19. Ha! Ha! Unfortunately it is never re like we have had the STD and we are trying to get rid of it.

  20. I needed the laugh, still counting.

  23. No sleep Tues. night. Feel like I am on pins and needles all the time. Soothed my soul yesterday evening with some beers and another viewing of Borat subsequent movie film.

  24. Trump looks like he’s losing, Time to fire him.

  25. I wonder what magical drug the orange twitter chief would take for that.

  26. even if he loses..we're not getting rid of him that easy..he's fighting to stay out of jail.

  27. That, my beloved Debra, is the best description of this seemingly perpetual state of anxiety I've ever read.

  28. We were always told that it is only a few rotten apples that spoil the barrel. Well, it turns out that there are a lot more than a few!

  30. Yep, and just when we think it’s gone for good...it keeps coming back for more. Hopefully, there will soon be a light at the end of the tunnel. In the meantime, thanks for the laugh, Debra!

  31. Saturday morning here: my test results are 'positive' in a good way.

  32. Well done, US, from a country being run by a Trump fanboy! Be proud you managed to get him out - with luck, we can get rid of ours next time, as we have compulsory voting, so it has to be made easy, but you guys fought voter suppression and you won.
