But alas, this photo dulls the full sparkle
of all the glitter and bling.]
Hello, my beloved admirers and wannabes,
it is I, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE CAT,
with an important Public Service Announcement.
Last year, because of the pandemic and
resulting cancellation of all Pride Parades,
My Human hosted a VIRTUAL PRIDE PARADE
here on She Who Seeks blog.
Everyone seemed to have
a GOOD TIME. Check it out here!
This year, at the tail end of the pandemic,
most Pride events are still curtailed, alas,
so My Human wants to again host
one FINAL Virtual Pride Parade.
But she's too goddamn LAZY to organize it herself,
so she dumped the job on ME.
Okay, fine. But . . . MY parade, MY rules!
This year's event is going to be a
PET PURRIDE PAWRADE!
Humans, please email me a photo of
your pet or other bird/animal being
a loud 'n proud ally!
Let your creativity RUN WILD!
It can be a real pet, a stuffed toy critter, an artwork,
something photoshopped, a decorated cookie or cake,
a photo or meme swiped off the internet,
ANYTHING GOES!
Dress it up in Rainbow or Pride finery, or NOT!
Your choice! Surprise me!
The Pet Purride Pawrade will be
posted at the end of June,
so please email me your photo by
FRIDAY, JUNE 25
at the very latest!
Send it to me at:
herroyalhighnessthecat@gmail.com
Photos will be posted
in the order received,
saying who submitted it and
with a link back to your blog
(unless you request otherwise).
HAVE FUN!
Ohhhh
ReplyDeleteI wanna see this! Yay for Pet Allies!
That last kitty meme is perfect. Perfect, I tell you!
XOXO
Thanks HRH and, especially, for a decent amount of time to get the boys dolled up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder...my Benni always wears his rainbow collar in June...we are a few days late this year...gotta go find it for our morning walk.
ReplyDeleteThis should be fun and adorable!
ReplyDeleteHRH is very creative.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that Pierre will consent to wearing any rainbow gear... We shall see!
ReplyDeleteThe St. Louis Pride Fest has been cancelled for this year. In the precovid times, it was the second biggest parade in the St. Louis area. Second only to the Mardi Gras Parade which was supposedly (never verified this) second to New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteThe kids might be up for this, or not ... we'll see if they cooperate.
ReplyDeleteThis will be wildly fun for the whole family.
ReplyDeleteYou're very clever, HRH.
I can't wait!
Buster is already hiding.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, Lilith might be up for this....
Hi Debra, This will be a tough one--rainbow and glittery is not exactly my style, but I'll see what I can come up with.
ReplyDelete--Jim
Aw! I can't wait to see the pet pictures. LOL, now to see if Kit will consent to have his picture taken.
ReplyDeleteI guess we can’t expect the Chick-fil-A cows to show up to the parade.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be very happy when that company finally turns over a new leaf no matter how many years it takes
This is gonna be sooooo much fun! I can hardly wait to see what everyone comes up with, including moi, LOL!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun HRH - I think I can come up with a submission or two.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this!! I will try HRH!!!! I can't wait to see what everyone sends to you! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour pets dress up nicely!
ReplyDeleteOh Fun!!! The city here is having Outfest this Saturday but the parade will not be until October. It feels good to see some normalcy!
ReplyDeleteOh last years was fabulous. Can't wait to see this years.
ReplyDeleteI will be sure to be there, only if over the net. Not sure if any small town will host a gay pride event
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
This is going to be fun.
ReplyDeleteThey came as they are..Mom has no imagination and she's lazy..Have a nice weekend..
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this!!
ReplyDeletePet. rainbow. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteOh, this'll be fun!
ReplyDeleteSome fishes and lizards can switch gender for reproduction purposes, when the population lacks one sex.
ReplyDeletecan't wait.
ReplyDeleteThat cute dog had me laughing. Do sweet.
ReplyDeleteJolly good fun !
ReplyDeletei am feeling so excited
ReplyDeletethank you HR for the taking the responsibility on your own shoulders :)
best wishes
I was in GA shopping a few weeks ago and stumbled upon some Pet Rainbow products and I thought to myself: I wonder if Deb is going to do her virtual parade this year, this would be fun for my canines.
ReplyDeleteDamnit. The thought went in and out quickly and I did not purchase said rainbow products! But I still have time. :)
I love that you're doing this again and with the critters too.
I read this wrong, I thought the pawrade was on June 25th! Glad I came back to look! I will do my post, when your pawrade is on! Big Hugs!
