Happy Blogoversary!

Today is the 13th Blogoversary of She Who Seeks blog!

Yes, my blog has hit its teenage years!

Oh oh, should I be worried?

Will my blog now become
moody, surly, rebellious
and all of a sudden be
disinterested in school?

Do I have to worry about my blog
taking up smoking, doing drugs,
or (*gasp*) engaging in
sexual experimentation?

And OMG -- will my blog have
to deal with acne?

No, no, wait . . .
(*phew*) I've got this!
I'll be okay! I'll be fine!

After all, I've had lots of
experience coping with
bad behaviour . . . .

I've been dealing with
Her Royal Highness the Cat
and her high maintenance nonsense
for what seems like FOREVER!

A teenaged blog will be a
walk in the park by comparison!

  5. WOW! You've reached your fluffin 13th blogging year. I stopped counting mine because I don't know how long I've been doing this shit. All I know is that I should set it up for Social Security checks to take care of it since it's so freaking old.

  7. Happy blogoversary to you! Maybe HRH will get you a cake? Probably not, but I'm sending over a virtual one for you to share.
I hit the teenage years this past August. which explains some bad behavior lately. :)

  8. Congratulations! 13 is such a wonderful number. Now that all the growing pains have been dealt with what is next? I do look forward to the runaway rebellious
devil may care adventures and perspective your delightful blog brings.

  11. You mean to say that your blog wasn't moody, surly, rebellious or full of sexual innuendo to this point?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Good thing HRH provides much-needed editorial oversight for free....

    Happy 13th Blogoversary, Debra!

  12. Don't forget make up, ridiculous amounts of time in the bath, and the discovery that all the foods the blog used to love are so yesterday.

    Happiest 13th Blogoversary!

  13. Will this be your lucky year?

  14. Hello Debra, What a special anniversary! It made me realize that I have never dipped very far back in your archives. I sampled some entries from 2008 and found some powerful writing (especially about some childhood friends)--I will be going back for more. Incidentally, in the Sunday, 21 September 2008 post, is that the real, original HRH, or was she already using body doubles?

  15. @ Mike -- I certainly hope this will be my lucky year!

  16. @ Busy Bee Suz -- Will I get my ungrateful human a CAKE? Did you see all the INSULTS she posted about moi in this post? She'll be LUCKY if I don't CRAP IN HER SHOES tonight. Cake, indeed. The very idea.

  17. @ Tundra Bunny -- Oh, I don't provide editorial oversight for FREE? I make my human PAY for it. PAY DEARLY.

  18. @ Parnassus (Jim) -- Yes, that VERY FIRST HRH photo in the post of Sept 21, 2008 is indeed THE ORIGINAL ME in all my TUXEDO GLORY. Can't you see the GREEN BALEFIRES of HELL flickering in my eyes? That's always a clue. Anyway, my human does often use BODY DOUBLES for me in her posts because the cheap bitch REFUSES to pay my MONETARY COMPENSATION DEMANDS for the real thing.

  19. I'm singing The Teenage Blogoversary Song, which I invented in the last two minutes, to you and your blog. Your blog will be the cool teen who never has breakouts and always wears the right clothes and never bullies the other blogs.

    Love,
    Janie

  20. And now it's the 13th year. That along with HRH could be a walk in the park or a complete nightmare. I say you better give HRH copious amounts of sardines for a year to be safe.

  23. Happy blogoversary. But I can’t decide if I’d rather deal with catitude or teenage angst. I have a lot more direct experience with catitude. Then again, I have a feeling you’ll be one of those exceptional teenagers.

  36. Stole the cat declaring you are not the boss. Too true. Congratulations on 13 years. You started in 2008 as did I so we are both dealing with teenage blogs. My male blog will mature later so should not give me too much trouble for another three years or so

  37. The teenage years can be survived... I think. I made it through Darling Eldest, but Darling Youngest still has a year and a half to go. :D

  38. Congratulations - 13 years is an impressive time to blog. I will notice if your blog starts sleeping late, talking back and refusing to clean up after itself. It has always been such a nice blog up until now.
