Time magazine made the perfect choice
for 2022's Person of the Year --
Volodymyr Zelensky &
The Spirit of Ukraine
Who is not awed and humbled by
the resistance and resilience
of the Ukrainian people
in the face of invasion, war,
bombardment, destruction and death?
[Miss Ukraine as a Sister of Battle
what a wonderful post! putin wanted to leave his mark on history as an indomitable warrior. he did it for Ukraine. history will never forget zelensky and ukraine for their courage and spirit. sometimes you really have to love karma.
ReplyDeleteI think Russia has lost her soul. They should be ashamed of themselves. I cant believe that they are such barbarians. I already understand that they have to wave their big putin dick all over the place, but it is so stupid. I thought we were friends, or at least neighbors. I think Ukraine has something to say about this.
ReplyDeleteSomehow Putin needs to be eliminated quickly and efficiently for the sake of both Ukraine and Russia.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year's Eve 😊🎉🍷
Looking forward to visiting you throughput the New Year!
What Putin is doing is so criminal
ReplyDeleteRepublicans supporting him are absolutely insane
The bravery and determination of the Ukrainians is both admirable and unfathomable. We as a species should have moved beyond any desire or need for war by now. What Russia is doing is unconscionable. If nuclear weapons were not in Putin's pocket, other nations might have helped put an end to this months ago. I can't help but think this invasion of a sovereign country is just one more symptom of a global sickness - one for which there is no vaccine.
ReplyDeleteOn that note, may we all have a Happier, Peaceful, Love-filled New Year.
A true and inspiring leader. And certainly not what he thought he was signing up for. I can’t imagine what it’s like to live through that hell and I hope Russia is forced to crawl home to a much weakened country in the very near future.
ReplyDeleteI hope for the same.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine Time choosing anyone else and still remaining credible. He reminds us what true valor is, and is an avatar of the brave Ukrainian people.
ReplyDeletethe Ol'Buzzard
I hope so too!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Wishing Peace and Joy in 2023!
Now that is a great New year's wish.
ReplyDeleteAll is well in Zhovti Vody so far with the exception of rotating power outages. Some as long as 33 hours. A small generator keeps the furnace, fridge, freezer and kitchen light going but fuel is scarce and expensive.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, Debra, and all your readers.
May 2023 be the year of Victory. Слава Україні
Timely post ~ and I'm with Mitchell!
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice by Time. May there be peace in Ukraine next year!
ReplyDeleteAwed and humbled indeed. Time Magazine made the right choice.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope someone, or something take Putin down and soon!!!! Take him out is better.
ReplyDeleteI thank you for the beautiful card today too!!!! Happy New Year to you Debs!!!!
I love this post, Debra. I think of Ukraine every day. I'm grateful for their strength and persistence.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
War is the saddest thing to remember in 2022. Happy New Year to you Deb!
ReplyDeleteI love and admire the Ukrainian people. Fuck Putin!
ReplyDeleteGlory Ukraine indeed!
ReplyDeleteYes, absolutely, Debra! Victory for Ukraine! Putin is a monster!
ReplyDeleteThe people of Ukraine are inspiring!
ReplyDeleteGood for him and good for TIME to do so!
ReplyDeleteVolodymyr Zelensky and the people of Ukraine are truly amazing. May Ukraine vanquish Putin and the Russian invaders in a decisive victory before another year passes. Ukraine has earned lasting peace and membership in NATO!
ReplyDeleteSam & Dave made a song about this When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you can search for Boika Prisadova on you tube. We will never go with putin. He has no soul. I cant believe that this small little man is causing so much misery.
ReplyDeleteI keep waiting for the Russians to do something about their out of control leader.
ReplyDeleteI hope and pray they get some peace soon.
ReplyDeleteWe all stand with them as one.
Lady M , we can say the same things about ourselves. We have hopefully survived the trump years. But who knows?
ReplyDeleteWe can look in a mirror. We can see what is in there. I dont like what i see. But i see me when i was a child. It is a good thing nobody told me about what i would have to do. I just want to be a nice old wino man. Nobody said it was easy.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for putin to die. I am not as dramatic as the Romanians, they stood Nicolae and Elena against a wall and shot them, World War 2 style.
Secretely, dont tell anyone, but i want the same thing for Putin. As for trump, he is not worth the bullets.
Good choice from Time this year. That's not always the case. Happy New Years, Debra.
ReplyDeleteI hope with all my heart that Ukraine regains its peace and freedom very soon. I haven't bought Time magazine in decades, but I bought this issue.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of this. Praying for the good people of Ukraine to prevail.
ReplyDeleteAmen. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHe is a real-life superhero! Wishing him and his people peace in 2023.
ReplyDeleteSlava Ukraini!
ReplyDeleteWhen this ends, please be soon, I am setting an expectation that Ukraine will get back every inch of territory, including Crimea.
Putin is a monster.
Great post. Totally agree!
ReplyDeleteI believed for while in my life that this is civilised and modern era now and no war thing is going to happen anymore. But Putin broke my trust and made me think that no matter how it rains some areas can never get green ever unfortunately
ReplyDeleteDear Baili. We must not lose hope.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is an excellent choice. Remember when Trump was the person of the year. He probably has digital copies of them on sale on some fundraising website. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteHoping for peace in the Ukraine this year along with much less Trump and more leaders like Zelensky.
Her costume is amazing and definately cosplay inspired.
