I don't stay up for the new years now, though I always get a rude awakening just half an hour before midnight and every half hour after that because my neighbors apparently have endless fireworks that they needed to use before the next new year.
May 2023 find you happy, healthy, and surrounded by both family and friends! Look for the good in all things and then share it with as many as you can! Hugs from S. Colorado ❤
I don’t do resolutions. I just to do a little bit better every But as I’m a human. It doesn’t always work out. Don’t care It’s a work in progress. Thanks for all the giggles.
My favourite is the New Year As A Kid one. That last bit is definitely me these days.Mind you, if I wasn’t looking after my mum last Saturday night I would at least go out to see a film, but I don’t bother with the midnight thing any more.
Happy New Year, Debra! Wishing you a wonderful year ahead. We spent a night in Ottawa and brought in the new year with some friends at a pub with good friends, plenty of drinks and live music. We may be old in body but we're young at heart!
ha ha ha... we spent a fun New Year's Eve with some dancing :-)) New Year's resolutions haven't been around for a long time, at least since kids were out of babyhood. I try to make every day beautiful, sometimes I succeed more sometimes less... and when I succeed, it's a great day. I wish you great days in 2023. Lots.
Just between us squirrelfriends? I slept through New Years'. I had a delicious edible (cranberry and orange cookies) and because I am a lightweight it knocked me out and I was sleep by 11:00. In any case, here's for a fantastic 2023 and many more fun posts.
To be honest I usually stay home New Year. Going out usually seems a let down. It works in your twenties/ early 30s but gets worse each year thereafter. My dogs hate fireworks so I do not feel its right to go out and leave them. This year I fell asleep anyway and they woke me to tell me there were bangers going off.
I love the new years' through the ages! On new years eve I was in bed at 10.30 reading, then What's Apping with my Ozzie daughter, then with a friend, then watched fireworks from my bedroom window!! :-)
hahaha, good one! happy new year debra!
